Sew Desu Ne?

Free Patterns

Welcome to my Free Pattern section! Here you’ll find projects of all different types that reflect my love of kawaii things. I like to share patterns that are beginner-friendly so newbies can try out sewing without a lot of risk, patterns for established characters since they don’t infringe on the creator, and patterns that are experimental and unusual so maybe we can both learn something from them. Enjoy your browsing!

  3. Thank you so much for these patterns. They are so professionally done. I teach sewing at a high school and these are great projects for my kids to make. I make them read the directions and construct them on their own for extra credit.

  4. Hi Choly,
I was wondering if you could make a frenchie (french bulldog) pattern? If so that would be splendid!!! Please consider this as it would be great. Thank you.

  11. First, I just need to say thank you so much! I run a free sewing class at our public library for kids and teens and your patterns are the only ones the kids seem actively interested in! I’ve gone through and downloaded all of your free plushie patterns.
I want to buy one or two of your other patterns for the class, but was told since it’s not freely available I have to ask about distribution issues. I’ve been letting the kids take the patterns home with them thus far since they were free, but with a paid for pattern I wouldn’t (since well… it’s mine at that point!)
So I wanted to know your opinion on the matter – if it’s okay with them MAKING the plush from a pattern I bought, or if you prefer I didn’t and sent them the link where they could (probably not) buy it.

    • Hello! Thank you very much for the kind words about my work! I’m so glad that my free patterns have helped motivate the kids in your class! I did make so many of my patterns free so that they could be distributed for projects like this, but if you wanted to share the paid ones I’d ask that they just be kept in the classroom only perhaps 🙂 So I’m fine if they just make the pattern. If you could not send copies home with the kids that would be very much appreciated. But hopefully you’ll enjoy more of the free projects to come in the future! And thanks so much for asking! ♥

  12. Hi Choly Knight, LOVE YOUR WORK!! I was wondering if you could make a type of Wings Of Fire or Warriors (book series, really epic) things, thnx!

  13. Can you do sesshomaru from inuyasha in his dog form

  14. Hello!
I was wondering why not all of your patterns that were released through your blog on the Free Pattern Page? I just happened to be scrolling through the free projects under category and saw so many more pattern that weren’t listed on the page. Love your patterns by the way, they have inspired me to learn how to sew! I’ve made Shiba Inu, & 2 catbuses already! Working on Chocobo and the sloth next! Thank you for your free patterns.

    • Hello! Thank you so much for the kind words about my work!
I mostly just list the best and most popular patterns on my main page here 🙂 I have over 100 patterns I’ve done over the years and some didn’t get much love for their time. The older ones especially aren’t as detailed and comprehensive as my new ones are either. Those were during a time when I was mostly making bag designs to work through a fabric stash that had gotten out of control — and people know me for my plushies much more than my bags ♥
Regardless, I’m so glad the patterns have been working out well for you!
