Hi everyone! Kupo!
After I made a Chocobo pattern back in June of last year, I had an overwhelming slew of requests to make a Moogle. How could I say no when Final Fantasy is pretty much my favorite video game franchise? This little guy has all the classic Moogle features, a big red pom pom, tiny wings, smiling eyes, and of course a big red nose. I also love that they have pudgy little bellies and fluffy neck ruffs too ♥
It has a lot of little pieces that are sewn on by hand, like the wings and arms. Luckily the neck ruff helps cover any mistakes with the neck if it gives you a tough time. But overall I gave it a 3/10 in difficulty.
You can sew all the features with fusible web applique or using the embroidery files I’ve included below. The face is small enough to sew entirely in a 4″ x 4″ hoop so no one is left out!
I hope all you Final Fantasy fans like it!

Oh my gosh, that is just too cute. Thank you. I really like a lot that you mention where this character is from because that really helps me. (and probably others who are older and looking for things to make grandchildren or their own grown children)
I know my grandchildren will love this.
Thanks again!

I’ve been following your work for quite some time now and this one hits close to home for me. I’ve got a friend that really need some cheering up. He professes that he is the clown of our bunch. He is always happy for everyone, when he is really the one that needs some cheering up. I think this pattern is going to be the perfect addition to his care package. I just hope he doesn’t see it on your site as well and make it for himself first. Thank you so much for offering the free patterns for us in addition to being able to purchase patterns on your Etsy or your books. It’s greatly appreciated.

You’re so welcome! I’m really glad my patterns might be able to help in some small way 🙂 And I hope your friend’s care package goes really well! ♥

This is such a cool pattern! Would you ever consider making an Alpaca plush pattern, I’ve been wanting to make one, but I haven’t found an affordable pattern that looks good.

Thank you! I have considered an alpaca 😀 It’s actually on my list for ones to do this year ♥ Thank you for the suggestion!

March 21, 2019 at 6:24 AM
They typically come out once a month 🙂 I try to do more in the holiday months from October through December though ♥

Wow!! I’m currently making the chocobo. It will be the first plush I make, I’m a beginner.
I came looking to see what other patterns you had for FF. I was very excited to see that you had a moogle too!
Do you have any plans for other FF plush?
May 4, 2019 at 7:39 AM
I have no immediate plans but I’m always open to more suggestions 🙂 I had just a few people request a Carbuncle and one request for Namazu. So if I get more I’ll see about fitting them into my future plans!

I personally get mine from Fabric.com, but they’re located in the USA: https://www.fabric.com/find?collection=shaggy-cuddle&fabric-type=minky
If you’re located in Europe, this might be a better resource for you: https://plushaddict.co.uk/all-fabric/plush-fabrics/textured-plush-fabric/shaggy-plush-fabric.html
I hope that helps!
