Lately I’ve gotten a lot of requests both for projects for complete sewing beginners and also for projects that use tiny little scraps of fabric 😀 So today I’ve got a little of both! It’s a super simple and sweet pattern for small plush wings you can use as hair clips. Included are both angel wings and bat wings. They look adorable in dark and pastel colors alike.
I imagine you could also attach a ribbon to them and make them into keychains as well. Needless to say, these are perfect for selling at craft shows and conventions since you can make them with little fabric leftovers. They sew up fast – even by hand – so you can even make them while you’re hanging out at the booth!
Even better, this might even help you put the finishing touches on a Halloween costume you’re working on! Either way, I hope you all enjoy it and it gives some more options to you newbies out there!

Cute!! My daughter wants to be an Ariel bat for Halloween – the bat wings, made in a mermaid scale fabric, will be perfect to put in her hair! Thanks, I always love your patterns!
