Update! Spooky cut & sew fabrics!

Hey everybody!
For those of you into Spoonflower, I thought I might share this newest update with you! I gave some of my older cut & sew patterns a spooky Halloween treatment! 🙂 I know it’s still super early, but us sewists know that you have to plan really far ahead to get your sewing done, right?

If you’re not familiar with Spoonflower, it’s a great service with offices in North Carolina and Berlin. They custom print on all kinds of fabric. It’s a great resource for making stuffed animals too because you can print your pattern pieces right on the fabric. It’s perfect for beginners because you don’t have to learn about how to buy supplies and fabric or how to transfer markings.

The new additions are:
More owl plushies! Which come in a dark shadowy version, a vampire, candy corn, and pumpkin (my favorite)
More bat plushies! I made up a ghost version, skeleton, and candy corn version. I brought back the zombie from before to be part of the spooky collection, and a new galaxy version took its place!
More Mer-kitties! But this time I made them into haunting sea witches ❤ They’re not classic Halloween themed, but rather have creepy faces and dark, mysterious colors inspired by sea witch illustrations I found. One is even like a lion fish 😀
And my Witch Kitties are a new edition! There’s a set of classic Halloween-themed kitties that have capes with skulls, ghosts, candy corn, and bats. And there’s another set that are themed after Hogwarts classes including Herbology, Astronomy, Defense Against the Dark Arts, and Potions.

You can buy them one fat quarter at a time, or buy a whole yard for all 4 of the colors in the collection. The instructions are just slightly different to accommodate the new fabric. You can find all of my cut & sew designs on my Spoonflower page, or a dedicated page here on my site for easier previews 😀
If you try ordering some, I hope you really enjoy it!

Shop update! More cut & sew fabrics!

Hey everybody!
For those of you into Spoonflower, I thought I might share this newest update with you! I’m going back and revisiting some of my older patterns to give them the cut & sew treatment 🙂
If you’re not familiar with Spoonflower, it’s a great service with offices in North Carolina and Berlin. They custom print on all kinds of fabric. It’s a fantastic resource for making stuffed animals too because you can print your pattern pieces right on the fabric. And it’s amazing for beginners because you don’t have to learn about how to buy supplies and fabric or how to transfer markings.

The new additions are:
More bat plush designs, which I’ve added kimono patterns to.
The cube puppy plush, which now has 4 different dog breeds like a pug & corgi.
The Unicorn Kitty pillow plush, which is shrunk down to fit ¼ yd. so it’s more classic plush sized.
The owl plush, specifically the heart faced one. These have feathers printed into the bodies which is so fun!
And I transformed my Eeveelution blob plush into classic cats like a tabby and calico.

You can buy them one fat quarter at a time, or buy a whole yard for all 4 of the colors in the collection. The instructions are just slightly different to accommodate the new fabric. You can find all of my cut & sew designs on my Spoonflower page, or a dedicated page here on my site for easier previewing 😀
I hope you guys enjoy them!

Free Pattern Bonus! Owl Bear Plush

So, after making the owl plush last week I was reminded of some of the requests I received for an Owl Bear. It’s sort of a classic monster created for the game Dungeons & Dragons, but versions of it exist in other fantasy games like World of Warcraft too (Wildkin/Moonkin). Seeing some of the official and fan-created art for this creature – some of which is really cute! – I couldn’t help but want to try and make a quick variation using the new owl pattern 😀

So this little bonus pattern of sorts has the same body shape as the original owl, but with new clawed and winged arms, feet, bear ears, tail, and detailed face. It’s just about the pudgiest bear cub you’ve ever laid eyes on, haha! I hope some of you nerdy D&D fans out there might give it a try!

Free Pattern Friday! Owl Plush

Hi all! It’s only September, but I’m already getting excited for Halloween. As most sewists know, you have to start early for every occasion. So for this year I thought I’d make an owl plush! While making a cute one was a ton of fun, I just had to get into the Halloween spirit and make a creepy one as well 😛
So this pattern has the templates for both! It gives you some decent options to switch things up and make different faces and characters. But I think what I love most about the plush is how chubby and round it turned out :3 You just can’t help squeezing it!
So happy Halloween season everyone! I hope you enjoy it!

P.S. Stay tuned next week! This pattern inspired me to make a fun variation that’ll be a bonus pattern next Friday!
