Free Pattern Friday! Shark Plush

Hi everyone!
A bit of a simpler pattern today, which should be nice for beginners! It’s a highly-requested partner to the dolphin and narwhal plush I made previously 😀 A cute baby shark!
It has just a few pattern pieces like the ones before it and comes together quickly. I rated it a 2/10 — the most difficult part is probably the belly, since it comes to a point in the back of the tail like a gusset. But it’s not terribly hard to do. So if you’re a beginner this would be a good way to get acquainted with gussets. If you’ve never sewn anything curved before this might feel more like a 3/10.
The applique templates include a classic round eye, a big toothy grin, and silly anime-style eyes so you can make a tsundere shark just like the internet meme :3 Each version has embroidery files included as well – with the teeth done in applique. All fit on 4” x 4” hoops so no one is left out!

Free Pattern Friday! Kero-chan & Suppi Plush

Hi everybody!
As some long-time fans may know, I have made some Cardcaptor Sakura patterns in the past 😀 And since the new series has been out I’ve gotten a lot of requests to make these little guys ❤ So I finally gave it a go! With this one pattern you can make either Kero-chan or Suppi! Ready to go on card capturing adventures.

They both have huge ears and cute little faces as well as puffy wings and floppy bodies that can sit up if you put beans in their bottom. Sewing the arms, wings, and tail gets a little crowded when doing the body, so I rated this one a 4/10 in difficulty. But there’s a tip in the instructions to help you through it ♥ The ears sewn partially into the head darts accounts for the rating too, but you could also just fold the ears instead.

You can sew all the features with fusible web applique or using the embroidery files I’ve included below. Both faces are small enough to sew entirely in a 4" x 4" hoop so no one is left out!

Embroidery catch-up and a sale!

Hi everyone!
Those of you with embroidery machines will hopefully be pleased with today’s news ♥ It’s sort of my New Year’s resolution this year to get caught up on embroidery files for my Etsy patterns. Since we’re more than a month into 2019 it seems like a good time to touch base and show how that’s been going!

My Floppy Dragon, Celestial Fox & Hare, and Chubby Dragon patterns all have new embroidery files!
Like with previous embroidery packs, these listings contain all the files you need to replace the applique in the pattern as well as a set of different sizes in case you want to use the eyes and motifs for a different project. This way you don’t absolutely need the pattern to use the embroidery and vice-versa.
From today until Wednesday, February 13th, the new embroidery files will be 50% off! And their partner patterns will be 30% off 😀
I hope this makes everyone’s sewing a little easier!

Meanwhile I’ve got to get back to embroidering ;P I’ve got a bunch more to catch up on!

Free Pattern Friday! Penguin Plush

Hey everyone!

I technically already created a penguin plush back in March of 2015 when I did Gunter from Adventure Time. But I was still getting requests for a penguin, haha! 😀 So I figured I should tackle a more classic penguin look, possibly with a different pose? Which is where my friend had the idea to make it look like it’s sliding on its belly! The idea seemed too cute to pass up ❤

The pattern itself doesn’t have a lot of pieces, so the penguins come together rather quickly 😀 The most difficult part is sewing the bottom, as there are some curves involved. But if you take it slow it’s not quite so bad. Altogether I’d call it a 3/10 in difficulty.

You can sew all the features with fusible web applique or using the embroidery files I’ve included below. The version of the face which includes applique for the top point needs a 5” x 7” hoop. But I’ve also included an amended 4” x 4” version without the applique and blush marks which still gets the job done 😀 I hope you all like it!

Throwback Thursday! Free Past Embroidery Files ♥

Hey everybody!
I have one last holiday gift to share with you and it’s more embroidery files! I went back and revisited some more free patterns from the past that you all need embroidery files for! You can find the links at the bottom as well as on the original pattern pages ♥

The new additions are:
• The Dolphin plush and Narwhal plush! Even though the eyes are super simple, they’re also small which would explain why I had a lot of requests for an embroidery file. They both fit 4″ x 4″ hoops.
• The Tiny Dino plush! Both the happy smiling face and the cute :3 face are included. Sadly I couldn’t make these fit 4″ x 4″ hoops, but 5″ x 7″ hoops will work fine ♥
• The Kitty Bean plush! This one has 3 different faces 😀 A classic cute face, a sweet face with lashed eyes, and a happy little ‘squee!’ face with scrunched up eyes. The full face fits 5″ x 7″ hoops, but they also include a version without whiskers that fits 4″ x 4″ hoops.
• And finally the Owl plush! This one has the original 3 faces — the heart face, and angular scary face, and the feathered face used in the Owl Bear plush. They all fit 5″ x 7″ hoops too. I tinkered with it so much to try and make a 4″ x 4″ version, but sadly everything was too big. So I tried just making a smaller mini owl instead! So if you have a 4″ x 4″ hoop, you can make these tiny palm-sized owls. The embroidery files include a new shrunk down version of the pattern that you can use with the original instructions 😀 So if you’re into sewing super tiny pieces you might like this project!

Here are the embroidery files for all of the projects mentioned! Each includes instructions to help you through all the stitching 😀 I hope they help your sewing!

Free Pattern Friday! Fox Plush

Hello everybody!

It’s crazy to think that after all these years I still haven’t done a fox plush! It’s such a classic animal, but I suppose I wanted to be sure I was giving you all something I hadn’t seen before and is also relatively easy ❤ After a good bit of testing and trials I landed on this design of a tiny little hand-held fox with a big wrapping tail!

The pattern itself doesn’t have a lot of pieces, so the foxes come together rather quickly 😀 To get the curve of the tail, it has some double-ended darts, which is likely the most difficult part. Sewing it won’t look pretty until the tail is finally done 😛 But despite all that I’d still call it a 3/10.

You can sew all the features with fusible web applique or using the embroidery files I’ve included below. In it are the files for the face, which uses applique for the muzzle. There’s also the ears, which has cute little applique fluffs. To make things easier the ears are sewn in-the-hoop – so they’re ready to attach to your head once they come out of the machine! Both files are sized to fit 4” x 4” embroidery hoops too! I hope you all enjoy!

I made some cut & sew versions for Spoonflower too! So you can skip all the applique and embroidery because all the faces and pattern notes are printed right on the fabric ♥ There’s a classic orange and gray fox as well as a fun icy arctic blue and galaxy fox 😀

Free Pattern Friday! Otter Plush

Hey everybody!
I’m fulfilling another highly requested animal today with this sweet huggable otter 😀 I found this one to be tricky to design, since I knew I wanted it lying on its back so it could hold a shell for all to see. But its tail often got in the way of that pose. It took a lot of attempts but I think I like the result!

They don’t have a lot of pieces, so they come together rather quickly. The head and shell are sewn on by hand, so that’s a little tricky, but altogether I’d call it a solid 3/10 in difficulty.
You can sew all the features with fusible web applique or using the embroidery files I’ve included below. The files only need a 4” x 4” hoop! Included is the face as well as the little shell, which has cute little accent lines and is sewn in-the-hoop style to save some time ❤
