New Shop Pattern! Pudgy Pet Plush

Hi everybody!
I’ve got a new pattern that I’ve recently added to my Etsy shop 😀

I’ve gotten a lot of requests for a dog or cat pattern that people can use to make into their pets ❤ While there are loads of ways to tackle this, I got it in my head to try a more teddy-bear style plush with both a large head and body. I figure this would be a lot more huggable and squeezable. I think other styles would be just as fun, so perhaps I’ll try for those later 🙂

For now, I made this set of sweet animals that comes with templates for 4 different kinds of ears, 5 different tails, and 3 different faces. With all of those combined, it’s a lot of fun getting to put together your favorite pet. And to top it off, you can make them a matching collar or bandanna! (I'm unnaturally excited about the bandanna for some reason, haha!) I thought with the arms outstretched it looked perfect for a Maneki Neko. The construction is quite similar to the chibi plushies I’ve done in the past, but since the neck is so much wider for this one, it’s much easier to sew it by machine. All in all, this pattern has very little hand-sewing so it comes together quickly if you’re a seasoned stitcher.

To celebrate its launch, I’ll be offering it at 30% off for the first weekend! (not including taxes and fees) I hope you’ll give it a look! And if you snagged a copy, I hope you enjoy it!

New Shop Pattern! Cerberus Plush

Hi everybody!
I’ve got a new pattern that I’ve recently added to my Etsy shop 😀

Being deep into Halloween season, I thought it might be fun to introduce another scary creature pattern into the mix! This Cerberus was very highly requested while I was doing my legendary creatures collection in 2016, but it took more time to tackle than I was able to handle. So after more time to test and work with the pattern I was finally able to come up with something 🙂
It’s got the classic beanie-style body seen in a lot of my other patterns, and of course it has the infamous three dog heads. They’re shaped to be a little pit-bull like with tiny floppy ears, but of course much cuter! Needless to say I’m sure fans of Harry Potter will get a kick out of this adorable version of ‘Fluffy.’ I rated it a 4/10 since it’s not too terribly difficult, although getting all three heads together is certainly trickier than one.

As part of the launch special, this pattern will be 30% off this weekend! To those of you that snagged a copy, I hope you all enjoy it, and happy Halloween sewing!

Free Pattern Friday! Shiba Cube Plush

prj090

While testing out new simple and versatile plush shapes, I realized I hadn’t done anything cube-related in a while 🙂 So I tried out this plush that takes a classic cube shape and adds a little something extra – four stubby little feet! If you’ve mastered making cubes in the past then this project will help you level up that skill. For that reason I gave it a 3/10 in difficulty.

The pattern is for an adorable little Shiba puppy, because I don’t sew nearly enough cute doggos as I should. Of course you could use this pattern to make loads of animal variations, from other dog breeds (Corgis, anyone?) to cats, to woodland creatures, to fanart! You could definitely fill a whole convention table with these.
