Hello everyone! I’ve got a new pattern I’ve recently added to my shop!
A hyena has been a common request for me, and it’s turned up next on my pattern poll! I thought I could lump it together with some other wild dogs I’ve gotten requests for, and I came to discover that hyenas are actually more closely related to felines! So these feisty fellas are grouped together with some similar canines to create this pack.
Included is of course a hyena; it has lower hips, a lower head, wider head, and shorter snout than the canines. But it also has its distinctive mohawk in either a spiky version using smooth fabric, or fluffy version using faux fur. Also included is a classic gray wolf with fluffy neck ruff, and the African wild dog (also known as the painted dog) with its beautiful array of markings. And to finish out the group is the maned wolf, known in its native South America as the lobo guará. It has beautiful long legs so in my version it stands a full 1 inch taller than the other canines.
They all have a 4-legged standing pose with tiny paws and big fluffy ears. And as you might expect with this style of plush, they have a poly pellet pouch in their hindquarters that helps offset the weight of the head.
As usual, the pattern comes with applique templates for the eyes, noses, and body markings. So you can stitch those on by hand or regular embroidery machine. But if you have an embroidery machine you can purchase the embroidery files separately. All the designs have 4×4 hoop options, they just might have minor changes to make them fit.
To celebrate the launch, the new pattern will be 30% off from now through the 5th of October. Also the embroidery will be 50% off. All other dogs and cats will be 20% off. Meanwhile the rest of my shop will be 10% off. I hope you’ll give it a look! And if you snag a copy, I hope you enjoy it!
