Here are the most requested animals and characters I recieved in 2023! A big thanks to my Patreon patrons who helped me narrow down the list and added their own suggestions. They’re split into fanart and non-fanart categories this time since the fanart characters tend to become free patterns 💖
In these polls, you can choose as many options as you’d like. But if you have a different idea to suggest, feel free to leave a comment down below and I’ll put it on future lists!
I can’t always promise I’ll make the suggestions in the same order as the poll. If it’s a big project it might mean I’ll need to be strategic with my schedule. But rest assured that if it scores very high it will find a way into my plans for the year!
If you’re curious about what I’ve already made in the past, please do take a look at my detailed search filter. You may find I already have what you’re looking for!
Thank you for your suggestions!

  1. My family would love (and I’d be willing to purchase if it’s too much to do for a free pattern) a guinea pig pattern with variations for different breeds. We support a local guinea pig rescue and would make plushie piggies for people who cannot have live ones, or possibly to make forever-cuddleable duplicates of beloved piggies who passed away (I had a photo memory of our Abyssinian who passed away last year pop up yesterday and would love a plushie of her). Preferably not much bigger than life size if possible?

  2. Thank you so much for using your time to make the sewing community free patterns!!! I love your hard work a dedication. If it’s not too much do you think you could give us an alien plushie with a ufo? Thank you much love 💕💕💕

      1. Love love love your patterns and so easy to follow I normally make clothes but you have helped me dip my toe into the world of plushies 😍 I would love a pattern for larvitar, pupitar and tyranitar! My husband keeps asking for the set some I started making plushies 🤣

    1. I dont know if you play genshin impact, but the new region has adorable forest sprites called aranara, that everyone is going crazy over rn and I think they would fit in with your dolls pretty well.

Hello ! Thank you si much for all your adorable patterns.
I am soon going to have a baby, and I absolutely love huskies (and harry Potter). My dream is to make a husky (Potter)-theme bedroom for my baby and it would be so amazing to have a husky plush or a niffler. Do you like this idea and think you could make one ?
Thank you again et have a great day !

  4. Hello! I have been making your patterns for a while and it’s been so rewarding challenging myself and gradually making more complex projects. I hand-sew everything so it’s not very efficient, but that’s made possible by your wonderfully clear instructions so I don’t end up making so many time-consuming mistakes and have to undo a lot of work. I haven’t found any other pattern resources that are as straightforward as yours (and the projects don’t tend to come out as polished-looking either), so I have really come to value your work!

One pattern I would love to see is a togepi plush. They’re so cute, and I’d love to see your take on it! Hopefully it wouldn’t be too complicated. No pressure of course, but I hope you have time to consider it 🙂

    1. Hello! Thank you so much for the kind words! I’m really glad you’re enjoying the patterns and finding them easy to use ♥ It really means a lot to get your feedback.
And thank you for the suggestion! I’ll certainly keep it in mind for the future 😊

    1. I do plan on it! Since I have the other two starters, requests for Squirtle have shot up a lot. But it might have to wait until next year while I work on the the designs from the current poll.

  5. Hi, I love your patterns! I would absolutely love if you would make a midna/wolf pattern from Zelda. Actually, I would love anything Zelda based and so would my teenage daughter! She is also a big fan of Lord of the rings and Harry Potter and would love for me to make a Gollum Plush and Dobby plush! I have no problem purchasing your patterns off Etsy (I already bought the Harry Potter ones <3).

Hello. Thank you for all your patterns so far.

I was wondering if you could do a tutorial of your pattern making process. Mainly how you determine the darts sizes and lengths as well as how you test your patterns.

I am wanting to make a plush of my own spirit fox character, but I am not wanting to use yards of expensive minky or fleece to test it over and over again.

Thank you again for all the patterns.

  7. Okay, I know it’s a blood-soaked R-rated action movie… but I totally want a pattern for the weird anime/mascot character Momomon from Bullet Train 😅

  8. Have you done, or could you do, your version of Skelanimals? Like, the horse/unicorn (I know Carrie was the horse), or the kitty, or the bat (Diego?), or dog (Dax?)? I love those and never had a chance to buy them.

    1. I have done other skeleton animals in the past, such as my Skeleton Bat, Sugar Skull kitty, and the Grim Reaper set. But I’ll certainly consider more in the future!

  9. Hey there!!! I was thinking of a Lucario plush. It would be so fun to have one.

Best, BlazingWings your fellow plush maker

  10. Hello!! I love your free patterns and you’ve taught me so much! I’m a better crafter because if you!! If possible could you do an alien plush? I think it would be the cutest thing ever!!!! If not that’s alright

  11. Your pattern are very beautiful, I ‘am a big fan of reptiles and I was wondering if you could make (for sale) a pack snakes, a bit like that of geckos with example the wheat snake, the hognose (pig’s muzzle) and the ball python, if you do this pattern I think I can consider myself the happiest girl in the world 😂

  12. Love your patterns. Any chance you’ll be coming up with a Psyduck pattern? Or have advice on how to get creative with the platypus pattern to make it happen?

  13. A moose please? I’d gladly pay for it. I want to make my brother one but can’t find a sewing pattern just knit ones. Also a Pokémon idea : hisuian (or regular) zorua. Tiny ghost fox is cute.

  14. Hi Choly. My grandsons, 6&4, love your patterns. The 4yr old cuddles his Totoro every night and I’ve just finished his Catbus. They have already placed requests for a Nightfury and a red panda but the 6yr old asked if the lady would design a Charizard so that Grandma can stitch it for him? He also said that it is kind of the lady to give some of her patterns away for free.
A big thank you from me, Dylan and Oscar
    Elaine

    1. Hello Elaine,
Thank you all for your support, that’s very kind of you 🥰 I’m really glad you and your grandsons are enjoying the patterns. I’ll certainly keep a Charizard in mind for future projects!

      1. Hello Choly. Latest request from my grandson is for Growlithe! Do you think that your hyena/wild dog pattern could be adapted to be him, or maybe the wolf plush or the fox and hare pattern or even the sitting kitty! I’ll obviously have to use different eyes. It would be great if he or other Pokemon characters were going to appear in your shop, pretty please Elaine x

      2. I definitely think the Hyena & Wild Dog pattern could be adapted to make Growlithe 😊 But I’ll certainly keep the idea in mind for possible future projects! Thanks so much for the suggestion!

I would love it if you would add Honduras bat to the voting next time. Also called a ghost bat. Iv found basic bats but not this kind. Also I love your patterns!

  16. Hi Choly. Any chance you would consider Bluey characters as your next set of patterns? My daughter and I LOVE the show. I’ve also wanted to recreate some of the toys such as Bingo’s lovey Floppy, and ChatterMax. ❤

  17. Hi, i saw a long time ago you had a give away for a BMO stuffie. Do you know where i can find a similar pattern. i noticed you never had one listed.
Thank you if you end up getting to my comment. Have a great day!

  18. So far i have made your bat pattern and JiJi pattern. I want to thank you for sharing the very popular character patterns for free so everyone can enjoy them!

  19. Just wanted to say…I didn’t really like sewing. I thought it was a chore (I bought a sewing machine because I’m short and need to hem my pants constantly). Then my kid wanted a build a bear party and I got the idea to make cupcakes for the bears, found you on Etsy, and now find myself planning project after project. Love your patterns and love that you make things that you don’t really see other places.

Side note- since horseshoe crab is up there…it would be fun to see a facehugger alien.

    1. Wow, that’s really wonderful to hear! I’m so glad you’re enjoying the patterns! Thank you as well for the suggestion ♥ I hope you enjoy the projects to come in the future!

  20. I would love to have a Patten for klonoa the PlayStation 2 design trying to create one from one of your exciting patten

  21. Dear Choly!
I love your patterns so much! They are all gorgeous and easy to follow (even if i’m not an native speaker).
I would love to see your realisation of the harry potter characters or of link from zelda.
Keep on doing such a great job!!!
    Lots of love from Germany!

  22. Loretto Pérez Pontón

Thank you for your patterns, they are always the best and I have a lot of fun making them. Have you ever consider doing plant plushes? Like roses or leafs or nice colorful fungus or something like that? I can’t keep a plant alive and I love them so… even if is a cussion It would be nice to have some “nature” on my room that I know it won’t die unless the cats take it as tribute, thanks anyway for all of the hard work you do on the designs, the free ones and the payed ones that I have a fair amound of now, I love how you break everything into tiny steps that makes it so much easy

  23. Christine Elizabeth Wetzker

I’d love it if you could make a wasp eater from girl genius. Or maybe a weasel with a wasp eater hack.

  24. hi choly! i am planning on selling some plushies made with your patterns, how should i credit you? (its at a craft sale)
i was planning on having a sign with a link to your website, but let me know what you think. thank you!

    1. Here to request some space themed clothes for your anthro dolls! Sci fi fashion, Jetsons/ retro space aesthetic, starship troopers, etc… any of that fun stuff would be awesome. Maybe even an alien expansion pack?? 👽🤞

  25. Hello !

Thank you so much for all your patterns (the free ones and the ones you sell on Etsy) ! My boyfriend and I already tried a couple of them out (like Appa, the alpaca, the little shark or Pikachu), and we love the results 🙂 Also, the explication are very well written, and the layout is stunning !
One pattern I’ll really like to see would be one to plush my own “Horsea”. <3 It's my favourite Waterpokemon, and it's been quite a time I am looking for a cute pattern (free or for sale) on the internet, but I cannot find a single one. Maybe this could be an idea for the next year or so?

Thanks again for all your hard work and the time you are investing in all your projects !!!

  26. Your patterns and designs are amazing and so easy to follow 🙂 could i request a dino backpack in the style of the dragon/unicorn patterns on etsy please?? 🙂 ive looked everywhere online for one similar but cant find a thing and i know your quality is amazing so always willing to pay for them 🙂 <3

  27. Hello. I see that you already have a weasel in the list for possible plushies. Whenever you get to it whether it be this year or later would you mind making a bundle/hack for a kamaitachi.

If you do not know kamaitachi is a Japanese mythical weasel with scythes as paws or tails depending on the region and it causes the sharp winds in tornadoes and the like.

    Thank you.

  28. Hi. Love your patterns. What about a slime pattern? I checked the internet and the closest I could find was a mini mochi which looked more like a pincushion pillow thing than a mini mochi.

  29. Hi there! I’ve been following your patterns for a while now and with all the Pokémon patterns coming out, I beg of you please make a Rowlet pattern. anything owl related are my absolute favorite and I need a rowlet plush I can edit sizes for. There are almost no existing Rowlet patterns anywhere in existence and I have the absolute need to make a 3XL pillow.

  30. I discovered your work just yesterday and I am so amazed with what you create and share. So thank you!! 💖

Also (because that’s the Pokémon my brother mentioned when we talked yesterday) I feel like I should at least suggest a Jigglypuff pattern.

  31. I truly love your patterns and admire your amazing work. 🙂

May I suggest Yoshi as a pattern in the future? That would be awesome!

  32. OOOOOHHHH!!! Kirara! Kirara!! Kirara!!! Kirara!!!! Even if Kirara doesn’t win the poll, I hope there will be a pattern available in the future!

  33. Hi! I really love all your patterns. The instructions are so clear and easy to follow! My mom and I have made 6 of the Wings of Fire dragons, and I have made a neck snake, a Neko Atsume plush, and 6 frogs, 1 pig, and a penguin (from the starter pack), and we absolutely love the results. I plan to use your neck dragon and hooded cowl for my Halloween costume this year. I was wondering if you could make some more dragons for the Wings of Fire pattern hack(specifically Sunny, Tsunami, Starflight, Swordtail, Kinkajou, Willow, and Indigo)? Thank you!

    1. Wow! That’s amazing! I’m so glad you all are enjoying the patterns and have gotten lots of use out of them ♥ Thank you for the suggestions and I’ll certainly keep them in mind for the future!

  34. There’s this new game with this adorable cat/weasel fire that would be so cute. It’s name is Grimm from Twisted Wonderland!

And I have to say all of your creations are magnificent <3
