Happy holidays everyone! The last month of the year is finally upon us ^0^ It’s been a real crazy ride this year for me, writing lots of books and still trying to balance sewing for myself and for my store in between 😄
With all the new products I’ve got in my store I want to extend a little special to all of my followers to get us through the holiday season! From now until Thursday, December 18th I’m offering 10% off all purchases at my Etsy store! December 18th is the last day you can expect to order from me and still get your items in time for Christmas if they’re purchased within the United States. Just use coupon code HOLIDAY2014 ♥ no minimum purchase necessary!
But onto more important matters! The last of the 2014 Monthly Crafting Challenge patterns! It’s such a bittersweet sendoff this month, because I saved my favorite pattern for last but I’m also sad to see my collection of Japanese snack foods end :< I’ll try to keep looking ahead to next year and get excited about that however ^-^ I just hope you all love this last pattern as much as I do!
The pattern for this month is a stuffed kitty donut!
These aren’t a traditional Japanese food at all, in case you can’t tell :3 But all I know is for the past year I’ve seen these adorable pictures of donuts from Japanese bakeries frosted to look like little kitties (amongst other animals). Where each face is delicately painted on with frosting and the ears are formed with more icing. I fell in love at first sight and had to make a plush version.
I have yet to see any bake shops on this side of the world give it a try, so for now I’ll have to settle for stuffed versions if I don’t try to make it myself 😀
You can get the pattern for this plush by signing up for email updates (found in the submission box on the right side of the page below the search bar). If you have trouble signing up, you can check out more info at the main Monthly Crafting Challenge page, the FAQ, or by emailing me. Also, bonus! for today only I’m offering both this pattern and the one from November when you sign up. After today though, the prize is just this guy 🙂 Though you can also purchase the older pattern through my Etsy if you’re too late.
If you’ve already signed up for emails, that’s where the challenge comes in. You can get this pattern if you make one of the projects from this blog, my books, or my Etsy then email me or message the finished project to my Facebook where I have a really awesome collection going of your creations! Keep it up every month and you’ll get a new free pattern, and remember to check back next year for a new set of Monthly Crafting Challenge patterns! I’ll see you all then!
