Hello out there!
May really went by in a flash for me 😀 I don’t know about the rest of you, but it’s great nonetheless because there are a few new things going on!
First off, thanks to all of you awesome fans, I’ve reached over 100k pageviews on DeviantArt! I’m going to celebrate with a brand new giveaway starting tomorrow morning, so be sure to check that out! In the meantime, have a look at this teaser photo of the prize :3
The next giveaway might not be too far off either ^-^ Looks like I’ll be reaching my next goal of 4k watchers on DeviantArt quite soon too!
DeviantArt pageviews: 100,149/123,456 = 81%
DeviantArt watchers: 3,658/4,000 = 91%
Facebook likes: 1,299/2,000 = 65%
Tumblr followers: 759/1,000 = 76%
Wordpress followers: 1,244/2,000 = 62%
Of course the next leg of the Monthly Crafting Challenge is also on the table! The new prize this month is the Umeboshi Onigiri plush!
I’ve made an onigiri plush before, but I felt compelled to try a different kind this time that has a slightly different shape. Most onigiri have some kind of special filling inside – this one in particular has an umeboshi, which is a pickled plum. I haven’t had one before, but I hope to try one someday ^-^ You could easily adapt this pattern to make other fillings or other faces to match whatever you had in mind since the original shape of the onigiri I think is so adorable!
You can get the pattern for this plush by signing up for email updates (found in the submission box on the right side of the page below the search bar). If you have trouble signing up, you can check out more info at the main Monthly Crafting Challenge page, the FAQ, or by emailing me. Also, bonus! for today only I’m offering both this pattern and the one from May when you sign up. After today though, the prize is just this guy 🙂 Though you can also purchase the older pattern through my Etsy if you’re too late.
If you’ve already signed up for emails, that’s where the challenge comes in. You can get this pattern if you make one of the projects from this blog, my books, or my Etsy then email me or message the finished project to my Facebook where I have a really awesome collection going of your creations! Keep it up every month and you’ll get a new free pattern, so don’t forget to check back during July to see the newest creation!
