2018 Year in Review!

Hi everyone!
I hope you’re all have a great season as this year comes to a close <3 We’re coming up on the blog being 5 years old now! I can’t believe how much it’s grown over this time, and I can’t wait to see how it progresses.
In the meantime, I thought I would make a top ten list of the most popular posts from this year as a fun look back. And maybe if you’re new to the site or missed a post you’ll see something you didn’t know about!

The sloth plush made it to #1! I love this little guy — it has so much character in such a simple body ♥

My favorite part of the year was definitely finally introducing embroidery designs into my free patterns! Although it’s a lot of work, it was very satisfying to get to see the designs come together in thread. It’s my 2019 resolution to get completely caught up with the most popular past designs!
I was surprised that the octopus amigurumi made it to the list <3 I know there are a lot of other great amigurumi pattern-makers out there, so I can’t really compete. But I find illustrating the charts to be challenging and fun. And I will be the first to admit I have a yarn-buying problem, so finding uses for it is always good 😀
I was also surprised that the Hooded Cowl made it onto the list 🙂 I always enjoy taking a break from plush-making for some cute accessories. I have some ideas for more Halloween-themed wearables next year, hopefully they’ll get just as much love!
Thank you for all the amazing suggestions for patterns over the year! I’ve heard a lot of really great ones, like a shark, T-rex, seal, alpaca, etc. I’m always open to hear suggestions though, so don’t be afraid to mention something in the comments. Thank you all so much for being fans of my blog and my work! I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for all of you! I hope you enjoy what’s to come in 2019!

  1. Thank you for all the cute patterns, as a beginner they helped me very much. I’d love to see a dratini plush, because I tried making one myself and though I got a really good head (I used the snout of the love dragon), I couldn’t get the body to curve the right way…

  2. I’d love a guinea pig pattern!! I have 7 guinea pigs, and I love your style. Though whatever you make, I’ll love it!

  3. An alpaca would be really cute, and would make a really cool excuse to use super fluffy fabric!! I think a no-face plush would be really cute too, and wouldn’t be too hard for beginners. Thanks for a great year of patterns!!!

  4. Thank you for all the patterns and being ever so helpful with everybody’s questions!
I am highly looking forward for more cuteness this 2019!

You made it suuuuper awesome with your cute animal collections! Can’t wait for your next list! Maybe a vegetable collection? lol. or game mascots? Whatever it be, I’m sure it will be cute!

    Keep it up! 🙂

  5. I love your patterns, I’ve bought several. If I may suggest one thing, a hyena. It frustrates me to no end how there’s no hyena plush patterns that I can find. I’d love to see what you did!
