Giveaway Results and a Halloween Sale!

Hi everyone!
I have the results for the Halloween Pattern Giveaway! There were over 2000 entries to the giveaway, so thank you to everyone that entered! The prize emails were sent just a bit ago, so if you’re one of the winners here, be sure to check for emails from Choly Knight or your spam folder 😀

Every winner received a free copy of my new Monster Doll expansion pack 🙂 And they got to choose some patterns and/or embroidery files from my collection!
The randomly chosen winners were:

In 1st place, who can choose 5 patterns, was tigersheart13
In 2nd place, who can choose 4 patterns, was Meg
In 3rd place, who can choose 3 patterns, was Stacey Mansfield
In 4th place, who can choose 2 patterns, was Marisol Gonzalez
And In 5th place, who can choose 1 pattern, was Leni

Thank you to everyone who entered! I hope it’s getting everyone excited for Halloween ♥

And if you didn’t win, you might still want to check out my shop’s sale! From now through the 23rd everything is 10% off, while Halloween patterns (like everything spooky, wearable, or costumed) is 20% off. But the special feature is the Monster Doll Expansion Pack and an embroidery update for the Cryptid plush bundle! The expansion pack and all the doll patterns that it fits are 30% off, as well as the old Cryptid plush patterns ♥ Plus all the new embroidery is 50% off!

The pack includes clothes and hair to make classic monsters like a Vampire, Werewolf, Skeleton, Zombie, and Swamp Mermaid (complete with snake hair if you want a Medusa instead).
The new expansion pack doesn’t come with a base doll pattern, so if you already have a copy of my Chibi Human Doll Plush or the Merpeople Plush Doll you’re all set! The clothes will also fit on the Anthro Woodland Witches, the Standing Animal Plush, the Centaur Plush Doll, it’s just that there will be more exceptions (like you can’t fit pants over an animal with a tail <3) With some ingenuity you can certainly still make some interesting monsters though ❤ Or if you’re not interested in any of those the clothes will also fit on the free Bat & Cat Girl pattern from earlier in the month!
I hope you’ll give the new pack a look! And if you snagged a copy, I hope you enjoy it!

Halloween Pattern Giveaway! CLOSED

Hi everyone and happy Halloween! I’ve been celebrating all through September, but now we’re finally in October. So I thought it would be a great time to start a giveaway!
It’s just a quick and simple giveaway. The winners are chosen at random, entry only requires an email address, and there are 5 chances to win!

Update! Spooky cut & sew fabrics!

Hey everybody!
For those of you into Spoonflower, I thought I might share this newest update with you! I gave some of my older cut & sew patterns a spooky Halloween treatment! 🙂 I know it’s still super early, but us sewists know that you have to plan really far ahead to get your sewing done, right?

If you’re not familiar with Spoonflower, it’s a great service with offices in North Carolina and Berlin. They custom print on all kinds of fabric. It’s a great resource for making stuffed animals too because you can print your pattern pieces right on the fabric. It’s perfect for beginners because you don’t have to learn about how to buy supplies and fabric or how to transfer markings.

The new additions are:
More owl plushies! Which come in a dark shadowy version, a vampire, candy corn, and pumpkin (my favorite)
More bat plushies! I made up a ghost version, skeleton, and candy corn version. I brought back the zombie from before to be part of the spooky collection, and a new galaxy version took its place!
More Mer-kitties! But this time I made them into haunting sea witches ❤ They’re not classic Halloween themed, but rather have creepy faces and dark, mysterious colors inspired by sea witch illustrations I found. One is even like a lion fish 😀
And my Witch Kitties are a new edition! There’s a set of classic Halloween-themed kitties that have capes with skulls, ghosts, candy corn, and bats. And there’s another set that are themed after Hogwarts classes including Herbology, Astronomy, Defense Against the Dark Arts, and Potions.

You can buy them one fat quarter at a time, or buy a whole yard for all 4 of the colors in the collection. The instructions are just slightly different to accommodate the new fabric. You can find all of my cut & sew designs on my Spoonflower page, or a dedicated page here on my site for easier previews 😀
If you try ordering some, I hope you really enjoy it!

Free Pattern Friday! Bat Plush

Prj087

Since it’s still September it’s not quite Halloween season, but I couldn’t help myself! I felt the urge to make a little bat plush and wanted to share the pattern with you 😀
It’s a pretty basic shape with a big head, tiny body, and oversized wings and ears. It’s wonderfully floppy and expressive and very fun to hug. It features several face applique options including lashed eyes, heart shaped nose, fangs, and blush marks. You can mix and match to make your favorite. The wings also have extra top-stitching for some special detail.

It only has four pattern pieces, but placing everything just right is crucial. Not only to be sure the wings and ears are symmetrical, but to be certain the neck is sewn straight as well. If you have no problem taking it carefully during those parts you should be good! I gave it a 3/10 stars in difficulty with all that in mind. I hope you’ll try making one in time for Halloween!

Freebie Friday! The Battie Treat Bag

Prj047
Another Halloween treat for you all! This time it’s directed mostly at the kiddies ^-^ I had some scraps of black twill that I thought would work perfectly for a little treat bag. Lots of different animal options came to mind, but a cute little bat enamored me the most. Now your favorite vampire or witch will be completely set for Halloween!
The bag is just a simple bucket bag style, but the added wings, ears, and appliqué make it perfect for any little vampires or witches out there. Or you could leave off the handle and use it for handing out candy this year 😀

The Adventure Time Dos-a-dos Notebooks Tutorial Part 2!

Prj040D
Prj040E
Prj040F
I couldn’t help myself! I made some more of the Adventure Time dos-a-dos bound notebooks 😀 This time we have Marceline/Marshall Lee with Princess Bubblegum/Prince Gumball. They’re made just the same as the previous iteration, but just some different appliqué this time. So you’ll see that the instructions are pretty much the same, but one or two have changed to account for the different characters ^-^
