New Shop Pattern! Big Cat Griffin Plush

Hello everybody!
I’ve got a new pattern that I’ve recently added to my Etsy shop 😀

Lately I’ve been feeling really inspired by artists that draw versions of griffins outside of the classic eagle/lion combination. They’ll put together different cats and birds for some really fun and unique fusions! I felt the urge to try and make them in plush form, and here they are!
I went with the 4-legged standing pose since it made it easier to add the markings for the different kinds of cats. With the pattern you can make a tiger, leopard, panther, lion, or house cat – or whatever else you can imagine with all the tail, wing, and ear options. On the bird side you can make an owl, eagle, phoenix, raven, or parakeet.
The most difficult part is likely all the tiny pieces for the belly and inner legs. You need to keep everything pointing in the right direction and not mix them up. But there are lots of notches and labels to help keep things placed right 🙂

But one thing that might help make the project easier is the accompanying embroidery files that are available for purchase as well 😀 It has two different eye styles, one more cat inspired, the other more phoenix inspired. And there are embroidery files to make the leopard and tiger markings too! So if you can get animal print fabric that’s much faster, but this way you can make an awesome griffin in any color you want!

To celebrate its launch, the pattern will be at 30% off for the first weekend! And the embroidery will be 50% off! I hope you’ll give it a look! And if you snagged a copy, I hope you enjoy it!

New Shop Item & Sale! Fairy Tale Collection Embroidery!

Hey everyone!
For those of you with embroidery machines, I’m slowly but surely adding more files for my paid patterns for sale 😀 For this next update I thought I should tackle my most popular patterns – the ones in my Fairy Tale Collection. That includes the Laying Dragon, Sitting Dragon, Peryton, Unicorn/Pegasus, Phoenix, and Griffin.

Just like with my other files so far, these bundles include the embroidery to use specifically with the partner pattern along with instructions. And they include standalone eye files in 7 sizes that you can use them with other projects. They’re also useful if you only have a 4” x 4” embroidery hoop and want to embroider the eyes separately. The main point is you don’t have to buy the pattern to use the embroidery and vice versa ❤

The files are bundled together at a discount just like the sewing patterns 😀 And all the files are 50% off for this weekend, so you have your pick! In addition, the partner patterns are 30% off so you can buy them together if this is your first time seeing them. I hope these new files help with your plush-making!

New Crafting Challenge Pattern for May!

Hi everyone!
Another month has come and gone already! I can’t believe it! It feels like it’ll be another year gone by before you know it. I’ve been working on a lot of new patterns this month in addition to my usual Etsy store creations. I also have a few new features to share in the coming months as well; I’m so excited to see how everything rolls out!

This month’s pattern features another classic creature that I’m sure needs no introduction…
A Phoenix!

Of course with summer well on the way it seems like this legendary bird of flames and rebirth seems appropriate, huh? It has my usual kawaii chibi-fied style with a super big head and little round body. But I’m sure it’s no surprise that my favorite part is the tail. The three sections nestle together and each has a set of three stripes in classic flame colors. You could of course modify this for lots of other beautiful birds as my flaming blue Phoenix shows. The tail takes a bit of time to do, but you could make it easy on yourself and just do a solid colored tail as well. The pattern gives a few tips on how to do that.
I gave this one a 4/10 stars since it doesn’t cover anything too intimidating, but there is a lot to do and many small pieces to keep track of. Like with previous patterns, I’ve labeled everything with a letter so you can keep track of what goes where. I know sometimes in cases like this I keep the paper pattern pinned to the fabric pieces until I need them. I thought I should mention that after taking in some feedback, I’ve done a bit of an overhaul to my current pattern style 🙂 I’ve included a lot more basic sewing information in this current pattern, taken 3x as many photos, and just overall tried to make it more beginner-friendly for those rogue novices that try out intermediate patterns. I hope you all enjoy the new look!
