More Halloween fun today! I’ve cooked up another accessory that hopefully will look good on just about everyone, from men to women to kids and adults. This time around it’s a tie that’s made up with some ribcage and spinal cord appliqué that’s perfect for topping off a simple costume or maybe a casual Friday bit of Halloween cheer. While ties are typically pretty easy, some parts can be a bit tricky because they’re made with silk cut on the bias and often involve a bit of hand sewing. I’ve simplified the process even further to make the pattern super quick to churn out, making it perfect for a costume tie. Of course you could use the same pattern and decorate it however you choose! Maybe a zombie or Frankenstein tie :B! Or even some well-placed blood splatters would be excellent for Halloween 😀 Either way, with only two weeks left until Halloween, hopefully this will be easy to pull off if you need a costume in a hurry.
The appliqué was placed specifically so it would look relatively anatomically correct on the average adult, but you could easily scoot the ribcage down and take off some of the lower vertebrae to make it fit all kinds of sizes.

Another Halloween treat for you all! This time it’s directed mostly at the kiddies ^-^ I had some scraps of black twill that I thought would work perfectly for a little treat bag. Lots of different animal options came to mind, but a cute little bat enamored me the most. Now your favorite vampire or witch will be completely set for Halloween!
The bag is just a simple bucket bag style, but the added wings, ears, and appliqué make it perfect for any little vampires or witches out there. Or you could leave off the handle and use it for handing out candy this year 😀

The month of Halloween commences today! I hope you all enjoy the projects I have planned 😀 This one, like all the rest, is meant to be an easy way to add to or complete your Halloween ensemble ^-^ This week I used some scrap black fleece to make a scoodie :B That is a cross between a scarf and a hood that are sometimes seen among the nerdy crafting crowd. Except this particular scarf/hood combo has a little face mask so you can lurk amid the shadows, pockets at the end of the scarf, and big fleece shurikens to wield! Pair this with a black outfit and you’re an instant ninja that’s snuggly and warm to boot!
The size is sort of an adult one-size-fits-most, but since it’s only a hood it should also fit well on most bigger kids as well. The mask is held in place by buttons, which not only make the mask easy to adjust while you’re wearing it, but easy to adjust while you sew it as well. You can simply move the placement of the buttons to make the mask fit tighter or higher on your ninja-in-training 😀

Even though I’ve already done a Gothic Lolita inspired bag earlier, I’ve got to say there are dozens more Lolita styles I’d like to try before saying I’ve touched on them all >w< so here’s another one! Rather than a large satchel like the previous project, this one is more of a dainty-style purse with almost a tube-like shape. And of course it has some nice lace detail and a Lolita style painted motifs.
The fabric is the absolute last from a skirt I made way back at the beginning of college XD So once again I’ve finally used up fabric that I had been carrying around for years; I couldn’t be happier :B!

I don’t mean to confuse anyone, but today’s project has nothing to do with birds >w< Many companies give their items cute girl names, for some reason this bag made me think of a raven x3 so I added the dark wings to bring the idea home.
This burgundy denim is leftover from another bag I made some time back, while the contrast black vinyl I had used to make some belts for a costume. The two seemed to go well together in sort of a 90s goth kind of way, so I thought I’d go for it 😀 And I had an extra zipper lying around that matched perfectly. That and when I realized I hadn’t made a hobo bag in my huge collection of bag projects, it seemed like all the ideas came together!

This project was bound to come up eventually ^-^ This purse is a tribute to my all-time favorite Sanrio character, Bad Badtz Maru, a mischievous little penguin that always has a angry look on his face. His designs are usually covered with an XO motif, as in Japanese that actually means badtz maru, and is a way of saying wrong or right, like how we … Continue reading Freebie Friday: The Badtz Maru Purse
I remember the first time I saw a Gothic Lolita Bible. Up until then I was not interested in goth at all. Marilyn Manson was definitely not my thing and I thought all the black and chains and fishnets were kind of boring really – uninspired. But when I cracked open that Gothic Lolita Bible I saw what goth should and could be. Gothic with … Continue reading Freebie Friday: The Gothic Lolita Satchel
Haha! So simple but so awesome! x3 My best friend commissioned me to make these for a party she was throwing some months back, and it was so simple to put together I just had to share. This is the ubiquitous Triforce from the Legend of Zelda series, and definitely one of my favorite video games as a kid. I needed a break from making … Continue reading Freebie Friday: The Triforce Plush
