Confession time: Cinnamoroll is one of my favorite Sanrio characters so I was over the moon when this adorable puppy flew his way to the top of my pattern poll. And what that means for you guys is in addition to a classic-sized Cinnamoroll plush, I also made a cuddly jumbo size! (Which I’m keeping for myself of course )
This version has the classic tiny body, large head, stumpy arms and legs, big floppy ears, and his namesake curled up tail. The medium size sits at about 8″ tall while the jumbo size is about 15″ tall. But they’re both extra sweet and fun to cuddle.
The ears, body bottom, and tail have some tricky curved sewing and the tail requires some hand sewing. With all that in mind it’s rated a 4/10 in difficulty.
The applique includes the classic simple blank eyes, but there are also templates to make more detailed eyes with little eye shines. You can use these templates if you’re sewing by hand or a regular sewing machine. If you have an embroidery machine, there are embroidery files as well. Usually the jumbo size would only fit 8×12 hoops, but with this project I tried adding a 4×4 friendly multi-hoop option to the jumbo size. You can create the face by re-aligning and re-hooping your fabric to stitch each eye and the mouth one at a time. It can be a little fiddly, but I wanted to give it a shot so those with 4×4 hoops can still make this adorable puppy 🥰 So I hope it might work out well for you all! Love it! Thank you!! Did you use Shannon’s BUNNY fabric for the large one?
I personally used Luxe Cuddle in the ‘hide’ texture 😊 But bunny would work great as well!
