I’ve got a new set of patterns that I’ve been working on 🙂
Over the last few years I’ve gotten lots of requests for various sea creatures, but because there are so many varied species, it was hard for them to get enough votes to take the spotlight. After comparing a good handful of them, I noticed they shared a lot of similar body shapes — namely that torpedo-like shape you see in whales and sharks.
So with summer fully gearing up, it seemed like a great time to see how many I could tackle! This huge bundle is a collection of 10 sea mammals and sharks, including a classic shark (which you could use to make a great white, leopard shark, or tiger shark), hammerhead shark, whale shark, orca, blue whale, narwhal, dolphin, seal, walrus, and manatee. Some of my favorite details are the silly faces on the shark, the option for a wide open pouch mouth on the whale shark, the cute star details to make a space whale, the adorable smile on the narwhal, the fluffy seal body, the really fluffy muzzle on the goofy walrus, and the sweet algae detail on the manatee.
They’re grouped together into the sharks, whales/dolphins, and seal/walrus/manatee — or you could buy the whole set for a discount!
As usual, the pattern comes with applique templates for the different faces. But if you have an embroidery machine, you can buy the embroidery files separately. There are 9 different eye styles ranging from super simple to more decorative and soulful, 3 noses, and 9 different mouths. All the pieces are either 4×4 hoop friendly or have separate options for working with 4×4 hoops.
