Last Minute Holiday Sale! and New Sitting Kitten & Wildcat Plush Sewing Pattern

Hi everyone! I’ve got one more sale I want to share for the year ❤ For those that are doing any last minute holiday shopping, all my 2020 patterns and embroidery are 30% off from now through the 25th! And the rest of my shop is 20% off ❤

To celebrate, I’ve got one last pattern launch for the year, and it’s the spiritual sequel to the puppy pattern from last month!

It’s only natural that a sitting kitty pattern would come after the puppies! So thank you for the cat people for your patience ❤ While I was at it, I wanted to knock out a classic wild cat pattern too so you can make tigers, lions, cheetahs, and leopards. I found the kittens and wildcats were similar enough that they should be one pattern, but not so similar that they’re one .pdf, haha! So you’ll find 2 .pdfs are included in the group, much like the Plague Doctor from back in October. The kitties have a similar body structure to the puppy, but they have a cute sitting pose with feet facing down. The kittens also have a slimmer body. And just like the puppies, you have your options of ears and tails to match your kitty exactly!

Using an animal print fabric would be great to create different wild cat species. But that can sometimes be hard to find (especially in specific colors). So applique templates are included for spots and stripes as well as the usual eyes, noses, and paw pads. And if you have an embroidery machine, you can purchase these files separately. I hope you’ll give it a look, and maybe it will make some thoughtful holiday gifts for your family and friends!

New Shop Pattern! Big Cat Griffin Plush

Hello everybody!
I’ve got a new pattern that I’ve recently added to my Etsy shop 😀

Lately I’ve been feeling really inspired by artists that draw versions of griffins outside of the classic eagle/lion combination. They’ll put together different cats and birds for some really fun and unique fusions! I felt the urge to try and make them in plush form, and here they are!
I went with the 4-legged standing pose since it made it easier to add the markings for the different kinds of cats. With the pattern you can make a tiger, leopard, panther, lion, or house cat – or whatever else you can imagine with all the tail, wing, and ear options. On the bird side you can make an owl, eagle, phoenix, raven, or parakeet.
The most difficult part is likely all the tiny pieces for the belly and inner legs. You need to keep everything pointing in the right direction and not mix them up. But there are lots of notches and labels to help keep things placed right 🙂

But one thing that might help make the project easier is the accompanying embroidery files that are available for purchase as well 😀 It has two different eye styles, one more cat inspired, the other more phoenix inspired. And there are embroidery files to make the leopard and tiger markings too! So if you can get animal print fabric that’s much faster, but this way you can make an awesome griffin in any color you want!

To celebrate its launch, the pattern will be at 30% off for the first weekend! And the embroidery will be 50% off! I hope you’ll give it a look! And if you snagged a copy, I hope you enjoy it!
