Hello everyone! I’ve got a few new patterns in my shop, plus a free update of an older pattern!
When I did my dinosaur plush bundle back in November of last year, there were a few species I wanted to do but didn’t quite have time for — namely the ankylosaurus and parasaurolophus. There was also the more accurate feathered version of a raptor that sadly slipped out of my grasp. So with the new Jurassic World movie around the corner, I’ve come back as promised to fill in the gaps!
The ankylosaur and parasaur are completely new patterns. The ankylosaur is known for having this awesome tank body that’s covered in spikes and horns. In my version you have your choice of flat spikes that are faster to sew into the body or 3D spikes that are sewn on by hand (so a little slower). Meanwhile the parasaur stands on 2 chunky legs and has a head with that distinctive crest. It also has flat bottoms on its arms so you could prop it up on 4 legs if you wanted, since that animal is known to switch between 2 and 4 legs.
And lastly, there’s the new feathered raptor. I’ve updated the old Carnivore duo plush to include this feathery dino. You could also use it to make an archaeopteryx 💗 So if you already own the old pattern, you can find the free update here, or in the button down below. It includes new feathery add-ons to attach to your velociraptor, including a head crest, tail feathers, and wings to replace the arms. But if you haven’t bought the original pattern, now would be a great time to take the plunge!
As always, these patterns come with applique templates for the eyes and other body markings. So you can stitch those by hand or on a regular sewing machine. The original dinosaur embroidery bundle has been updated to include the files for the ankylosaur and parasaur.
