Free Pattern Friday! Stitch & Angel Plush

Hi everyone!
So the runaway hit on my pattern poll for this year was Stitch! It’s exciting that this little guy is still so beloved due to all the shows being made after the original movie 🥰 And because it’s February, I figure how perfect to make him along with his girlfriend, Angel!
So this pattern has the option to make the classic “disguised” Stitch, and the alien Stitch that has 2 additional arms, antennae, and back spikes. And for Angel there are some different applique templates for the chest and body as well as new long antennae.
It has a floppy style body that’s incredibly fun to cuddle and floppy ears as well. If you’d rather have ears that stick straight up, you’ll want to use something like pipe cleaners inside them. The instructions show how to use them 💖 The hardest part of this design is likely the many many darts found throughout the head and body as well as how crowded the body gets because the limbs are sewn into the seams. The ear area can get a little bulky as well when you include the pipe cleaners. With all that in mind, I rated it a 4/10 in difficulty.

As always, the pattern comes with applique templates to make the face if you’re using a regular sewing machine or working by hand. There are also embroidery files available if you have an embroidery machine. All the pieces are 4″ x 4″ friendly, you just might have to rotate your base fabric sometimes to make it fit.
I hope you all like it!

I seriously cannot tell you enough how amazing you are. Nit only do you make incredibly clean and easy to understand tutorials the fact that you give so many out for free is just amazing. I see so many creators who charge over $20 and half half the quality of a tutorial. Not to bash them for making a hustle, but I am inspired by your generosity and quality. Thank you for sharing so much of your knowledge and expertise so we can all expierence the joys of sewing!

    1. Wow, thank you so much for the kind words and your support! I’m really glad that you’re enjoying the patterns and I appreciate that you notice the work I put into them 🥰 I hope you enjoy what’s to come in the future!

  4. Thank you for doing them. My son absolutely loves Stitch. I can’t wait to make him one. I love the embroidery that you have as well. You are so very talented. Thank you for all the work you do on the plushies.

  5. Definitely already a favorite! Do you mind sharing what colors you used to help out those of us that have to order our fabric online?

    1. Sure thing! I used Shannon minky (from Fabric.com) in these colors:
For regular Stitch, it’s: azure (body), turquoise (belly), royal blue (nose & claws), and blush (inner ears)
For alien Stitch, it’s: bluebell (body), baby blue (belly), navy (nose & claws), and rosewater (inner ears)
For Angel, it’s: dusty rose (body), rosewater (belly & inner ears), and amethyst (nose & claws)
      I hope that helps!

      1. I can’t seem to find the dusty rose minky on the site, hopefully it wasn’t discontinued. Do you have any suggestions for similar colors that might be close?

      2. Dusty rose seems to have been discontinued, I found that Wildrose is a good match though.

  6. These are awesome!
I clicked over to the tutorials page, but there aren’t any links for the “Starter Pack Plush” or “Plush Sewing Basics”. Where can I find those?

  7. Hi Choly,

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I’ve been trying to come up with a decent Stitch for a while. I got close, but yours is so cute! Can’t wait to make him. Stay safe & healthy!

    1. It is about 9″ tall (23cm) from the bottom of the body to the top of the head. It does not stand on its own, but if you include the legs it’s about 12″ tall (30cm) 😊
