New Shop Pattern! Doll Armor Expansion Pack

Hi everyone!
I’ve got a new pattern I’ve added to my shop!

Armor Expansion Pack Sewing Pattern

Among the requests I get for new doll expansions, ones for medieval fairy tale type adventures come up a lot — like witches, knights, and princesses. Well, last September I covered the witches, so now knights are up on the list! With this new expansion pack you can make armor for all of the dolls in my collection so far — dragons, birds, unicorns, and woodland animals all get to join in! Which means these would be perfect if you’re creating plush versions of your D&D character (seriously, seeing people use my patterns to make their D&D characters is my favorite thing, EVER ♥).

Included is a basic piece of armor for every part of the body, including a breastplate, pauldrons, bracers, thigh guards, shin guards — the list goes on! There’s also a Wonder Woman inspired suit of armor with skirt, and different helmets for each kind of animal — to work around different head shapes and extras like horns and ears. And for underneath there’s a classic tunic and simple pair of pants.
While I bet armor would look pretty amazing in a tougher material, like EVA foam or Worbla, I wanted to keep this project in the fabric realm so it’s more accessible. So this collection is made from felt for that rigid leather look while still being easy to sew. A big thanks to The Felt Pod where I purchased this awesome metallic felt!

To keep things interesting, the armor has a lot of embroidered elements. There are 3 options for each piece of armor to be exact: plates & rivets, filigree, and scales. All the files are included with the pattern this time, so there’s no need to purchase separately. And if you don’t have an embroidery machine, you’ll find the plate designs are easy to recreate in applique.
To celebrate the launch, the new pattern will be 30% off from now through Wednesday, May 5th. Meanwhile all my other doll patterns will be 20% off, and the rest of the shop will be 10% off. I hope you’ll give them a look! And if you snagged a copy of the new pattern, I hope you enjoy it!

  2. So very excited for the Amour expansion!!! I want to make a Link(Zelda) doll for my son. I also want to play with using my tiny chain maille scales on a knight outfit. You are so amazing and talented! I think I have most of your patterns.❤❤❤❤❤

  3. Thanks Choly! Can’t wait for the next free pattern!
Hoping for a stingray, stag beetle, or some more Pokémon!
    Congrats on another pattern!

  4. This is amazing! I’ve been making my D&D characters, and an NPC family from my husband and my long-running game, and these pieces will let us add some new details to some of them! Thank you for making so many amazing doll patterns, I don’t know how I’d have gotten threw 2020 without them 🙂

  5. very cool! i have a request – can you come up with a few good “animal crossing” patterns? i am in love with the tanuki in animal crossing “tom” and would love to make a few of those for my sewing room and as gifts!

      1. one more question. (sorry) i’m thinking about doing a bat-girl with the paid doll pattern. should i draft a new set of wings? i was thinking of using the wings from the wings of fire hack or the bat. should i do one of those?

  6. I just picked this up and I’m excited to give it a try! My son saw the warrior fox and wants exactly that. And I want to make my D&D paladin as well!

Any plans for princess dresses and crowns in a future expansion collection? I’ve started making a list of plush dolls I want to try and several have long fancy dresses.
