New Freebie for August!

August is finally here! I was working so hard all through July I’m kind of glad to see the new month start ^-^ I just got back from Metrocon in Tampa a few days ago and it was a ton of fun but I am beat! All those months of preparing are finally over so it’s a great relief to finally take a deep breath and relax! That doesn’t mean I’m about to go on vacation or anything ^w^ for this month I’m going to keep working at getting rid of my fabric stash but also restocking my Etsy store, which is quite empty after all the sales at Metrocon.

How is my fabric stash doing? Well, I’m down to maybe 3 or 4 yards total of heavy duty fabrics 😀 so I’d say that’s a bit of an accomplishment! Of course now I also have a whole chest-full of fleece scraps which I think will be perfect for making tiny plushies! So stay tuned for more projects like that in the coming weeks ^-^

But onto the meat of the post! The next leg of my Monthly Crafting Challenge!
The freebie for August is this cutesy Tuna Nigiri plush!

This one is a take off of the other nigiri plushies I’ve done so far: shrimp, eel, and egg. But I’m really in love with how bright and colorful this guy looks 😀 Especially the little markings that really make him look like a fresh piece of tuna. For those of you that have been collecting the patterns, you should have quite a big nigiri family by now!

Finally! Previous Sushi Plush Patterns for Sale!

Ohmahglob guys! I’m so sorry it took me so long to finally get these ready, but as requested by many many of you, the exclusive sushi plush patterns from back months are finally on sale!

That’s right! For those of you who found out about my blog recently and are wondering how you can win the past sushi plushies, now you can purchase them from my Etsy!

The truth is, I was planning on listing the whole collection of sushi plushies once this first year of monthly crafting challenge was over >w< It just seemed like a good way to finish off the year. But very surprisingly, I got a huge demand for people that wanted to catch up with previous months right now, so I got to work on getting them Etsy-ready. So I want to apologize for anyone that had to wait longer than they’d like x_x I wanted to make sure the patterns I posted were worth your money, so I went back and edited them carefully, formatted them all pretty, and even did some extra testing to make sure there were no issues. The .pdf patterns even include a little section on working with printable patterns and appliqué so you’re helped every step of the way. Hopefully you’ll find the patterns you spend your hard-earned money on will be better than ever!

So please stop by my Etsy and have a look at which ones you’d like to add to your collection! They’re only $2 each, and $10 for the whole set if you want to catch up quickly. New Freebie for March!

It appears as though I’m at two months for my blog now 😀 This month felt a little less active, if only because I’ve been working on some personal projects for myself and others. I’ll try to keep you posted on those in the weeks to come! ^-~
I still haven’t made a lot of progress in getting rid of my stash, but I’ll keep chugging along until it’s manageable! And you’ll get to reap all the benefits in the form of free projects :3

But the point of this post is to introduce the next leg of my Monthly Crafting Challenge!
The freebie for the month of March is an adorable Shrimp Nigiri Sushi Plush!

The assembly is much like the freebie for January, the Tamago Nigiri Plush, except the topping for this one is a plush little shrimp! I love the way it turned out with the cute pink markings and tail. He sits on top of a big mound of rice and is all wrapped up in a nori band. It’s very easy to put together, and I love the whole look of him ^-^ So if you still haven’t signed up for email updates, do so today and you’ll get the freebie for February and March together for today only!

I guess that’s it for February! Accordingly, it went by super fast and before I even realized it, even though it’s only a few days shorter than the other months. I have a lot more projects to share for March, so I can’t wait to get started!
