August is finally here! I was working so hard all through July I’m kind of glad to see the new month start ^-^ I just got back from Metrocon in Tampa a few days ago and it was a ton of fun but I am beat! All those months of preparing are finally over so it’s a great relief to finally take a deep breath and relax! That doesn’t mean I’m about to go on vacation or anything ^w^ for this month I’m going to keep working at getting rid of my fabric stash but also restocking my Etsy store, which is quite empty after all the sales at Metrocon.
How is my fabric stash doing? Well, I’m down to maybe 3 or 4 yards total of heavy duty fabrics 😀 so I’d say that’s a bit of an accomplishment! Of course now I also have a whole chest-full of fleece scraps which I think will be perfect for making tiny plushies! So stay tuned for more projects like that in the coming weeks ^-^
But onto the meat of the post! The next leg of my Monthly Crafting Challenge!
The freebie for August is this cutesy Tuna Nigiri plush!
This one is a take off of the other nigiri plushies I’ve done so far: shrimp, eel, and egg. But I’m really in love with how bright and colorful this guy looks 😀 Especially the little markings that really make him look like a fresh piece of tuna. For those of you that have been collecting the patterns, you should have quite a big nigiri family by now!
