Here are the most requested ideas I received in 2025! A big thanks to my Patreon patrons who helped me narrow down the list and added their own suggestions. They’re split into fanart and non-fanart categories since the fanart characters tend to become free patterns 💖

In these polls, you can choose as many options as you’d like. But if you have a different idea to suggest, feel free to leave a comment down below and I’ll put it on future lists! If you’re curious about what I’ve already made in the past, please do take a look at my detailed search filter. You may find I already have what you’re looking for! I can’t always promise I’ll make the suggestions in the same order as the poll. If it’s a big project it might mean I’ll need to be strategic with my schedule and rearrange how things go.

In the end though, please do remember that the goal of this blog is to celebrate the fun of making things! 🧵 So if your favorite character or franchise might not become a pattern, please know that it doesn’t reflect on whether it’s more or less worthy. Hopefully my huge backlog of previous patterns might help you make it to your goal! Thank you for your suggestions!

    I donate a portion of my profit from marine animal plush to ocean cleanup and conservation, so anything aquatic is a bog excite for me! Hammerhead shark, orca, sea turtle, penguin, maybe a clam that turn inside out into a purl, Sea cucumber, manatee, other shapes of rays!

    How about any of the Animal Crossing characters or imagery? There’s always Tom Nook, Timmy and Tommy, Isabel, the never ending list of villagers and other characters, but there’s also the iconic AC leaf, bells, and balloon gifts.

    My Grandson is asking me for Turtwig and who he evolves into (Grotle) and his final evolution (Torterra). I was wondering if you might have any of these in the planning stage. I love your patterns and enjoy making them for my grandkids and I am hoping I can add these to the collection. Thank you for all your wonderful patterns.

      Hi, my kids are also super into pokemon right now and I have been creating pattern hacks (from her free patterns to be able to make more than are currently available. Might I suggest that turtwig can be created using the body from bulbasaur, the shell from the turtle pattern (size adjustment might be necessary, but you should be able to tell that from the piece before cutting out fabric), the turtle pattern head would also probably work, but I think it would need to be enlarged a bit and then you just need to create a yellow applique piece for the head and a little brown star applique piece for the top of the head. The leaf bit would be very simple. I might end up doing this and if you would like I can pass along what I come up with for you. All original credit goes to cholyknight for her original patterns that make this possible and I am not selling anything. I created mantine from modifying the manta ray pattern, wynaut from the body of pikachu, the head of the phoenix plush, and just needed to invent a couple of other pieces to make it work, torchic modified from phoenix plush pattern, dragonair modified from neck dragon plush, goldeen modified from goldfish pattern. I am also considering creating bayleef from the brontosaurus pattern. Just a suggestion. Not all things are possible with this, but some are.

    I especially love when you make animal plushies (paid or free). And even more fun when they are lesser common animals that are hard to find in stores. (Hippo, rhino, flamingo, pelican, platipus, beaver, moose, snail, angler fish, manatee, ostrich, kangaroo…. )
    My 3.5 year old likes requesting plushies so it’s fun to build her collection. She asked me for a seahorse a while back, and was so pleased to see you already had a pattern for it!

    Armadillo!! I have Narcolepsy and I live in Texas – armadillos are our sleepiest animal. They sleep 16 hrs a day, just like me! It would make my life to have an armadillo pattern.

    Hi there! I love your patterns, and I hand sew a lot of them. I would love to see some of the characters from the video game Undertale.
    Toriel, Alphys, and Firsk/Chara would be nice, but what I would love to see is either a Froggit or Final Froggit in your style. They are these cute frog-like monsters that are white and black with cute faces.

    First, I just ADORE all of your patterns! You have an amazing talent! I have purchased quite a few, and want to start putting labels on all the things I sew, and when I use your patterns, I want to know which you would like to have as an acknowledgement on them? I was thinking of going with ‘Choly Knight Patterns’ or if you prefer ‘Sew Desu Ne?’ ? Just let me know.
    I totally want to give you a Shout Out of your talent. I have been sewing for a long time so I know that the patterns that you create are Fabulous!
    Oh and BTW maybe a bear pattern and also I agree with Emily about a Morris plush.

    Thank you for your patterns they are wonderful! I have been using both the free ones and the ones from your Esty shop. My favorites thus far are probably the neck dragon (I absolutely love how it turned out) and the reversible dragon eggs (which I think are just about the coolest thing ever!).

    My kids are super into Pokémon right now, I love your Pikachu pattern, and I was really excited to make the Bulbasaur one for Halloween (my younger son loves the color orange so he was thrilled). I have been also creating my own pattern hacks for my own personal use to turn some of your animal plush patterns from both your free and paid patterns into some other Pokémon, I absolutely couldn’t do it without your patterns to use as a jumping off point.

    I was really hoping that Charmander would end up further up on the poll as that is one that my oldest son requested that I don’t think that I could pattern hack. I would also really love a Celebi pattern, which is another one I don’t think that I could create a hack for. I hope that you would be willing to consider them. I hate to ask since I love the patterns that you already have, and don’t want to seem ungrateful. I was hoping that maybe it could make the poll for next year though in the least.
