I admit I wasn’t terribly familiar with the Pokemon Zorua when it made its way to the top of the pattern poll. But I was so glad it was suggested because it was super fun to make! As requested, I was sure to include the Hisuian version which has such fun and swirly tufts of fur.
This free version of this fox-like Pokemon has a basic laying down pose which makes the body a little simpler to construct. That helps make up for all the extra details in the head fluff, neck fluff, and tail.
But if you’re looking for a more classic standing pose, I’ve included a pattern hack so you can make that happen! Zorua’s standing body is quite similar to my Celestial Fox & Hare pattern.
The hack goes over how to swap out the head, neck fluff, and tail from the original pattern with the new Pokemon pieces. It still has all the same adorable fluffy details but with a new body. So if you want to make this more complex version, you’ll need the Fox & Hare plush pattern. It will be 30% off for the next week if you’d like to pick it up! Meanwhile the rest of my shop will be 20% off.
As always, this pattern comes with applique templates to make the eyes and ears for both the Unovan and Hisuian versions. These are if you are sewing the details by hand or regular sewing machine. If you have an embroidery machine, you’ll find the embroidery files available with the buttons below. The face has been split into an eye panel and muzzle in order to be friendly to 4×4 hoops, and you’ll find the templates for that in the included embroidery instructions. I hope you all like it!
