Year of the Dragon Sale! And New Hydra & Dragon Plush Pattern!

Hi everyone! And happy year of the dragon! 🐉
I’ve got a new pattern that I’ve been working on 🥰
A hydra was a very high-ranking result from my pattern poll last year, but things didn’t quite go as planned and I wasn’t able to make one. So I made it the number one priority this year!

This version of the multi-headed monster from ancient Greek legend has a sitting pose with a big body and long slender neck. If you make it with just the one head, you’ve got yourself an awesome dragon! It would be perfect for those more interested in a “realistic” looking dragon with a smaller head. From there, you can add two more heads on the side for a 3-headed hydra, or add two more heads in the back for a 5-headed hydra! Give it horns and wings and you’ve got a perfect 5-headed dragon for Tiamat!
Using wire in the heads is completely optional. If you stuff them well enough they’ll stay okay on their own. But if you do add wire, then the heads are posable and can be extra expressive! Add that to the fact that it comes with 9 different expressive eyes and you can make one impressive creature! That said, this is a more difficult pattern at 8/10 difficulty. I’ve gotten requests for more challenging patterns before, and this is certainly one of them 😅
As usual, the pattern comes with applique templates for the different faces as well as the inner wing details. But if you have an embroidery machine, you can buy the embroidery files separately. All the pieces are either 4×4 hoop friendly or have separate options for working with 4×4 hoops.

To celebrate the launch, the new pattern will be 30% off from now through the 21st of February. And to celebrate the year of the Dragon, all other dragon patterns will also be 30% off! Meanwhile the rest of my shop will be 20% off. I hope you’ll give it a look! And if you do, I hope you enjoy it!

  1. All these different faces are wonderful! Whenever I manage to round up the funds I have to get these and your Egyptian animals to finally make a few gifts for myself. Maybe in time for Christmas… LOL
I’m so mpressed that you keep coming up with these fantastic patterns. Thanks for sharing your creativity with the rest of us so we can make our own versions of your fun creations.

  2. I’m looking at all the angry faces and thinking it would be spectacular to have one goofy one amongst them. 😂

  3. I am consistently impressed by your patterns. This is my next project, just finished Bastet from the Egyptian set. Thank you for making these adorable, affordable patterns.

  4. I love the one that’s emulating the King Ghidorah meme. I keep hoping you’ll do Godzilla because then I will see about getting the Moth pattern so I can do the Mothra hack, which also makes it tempting to get this one so I can make King Ghidorah as well.
