I’ve got a new plush pattern I’ve added to my shop!
I had kind of a hectic month so I didn’t have time to tackle a bigger project this time around. But I still wanted to make time for my yearly Halloween sale! So I whipped up a short and sweet pattern with this poison apple! I guess it counts as the “Food or Fruit Pillow” poll entry 😅 It’s also kind of a throwback to the silly food plushies I did when I first started — like the sushi plush.
This version is a simple round apple shape with a creepy dripping skull design. It uses your choice of 2 techniques to create the distinctive apple dimples at the top and bottom. But the especially fun part is it comes in 5 sizes! The sizes are built around the different embroidery hoop sizes, but of course there are applique templates for all of the options as well. It ranges from a mini size at about 2½” tall to a jumbo pillow size at 11″ tall. With just 3 pattern pieces, it comes together super fast but the bold design really makes it stand out. I hope it might provide some great table filler if you sell for shows! At the very least it makes a good prop if you’re dressing up as Snow White 🥰
So if you sew by hand or regular sewing machine, you can create the skull motif with fusible web applique, and the instructions include everything you need for that. The jumbo size (white & pink) shows what that looks like. Or if you have an embroidery machine, you’ll find the embroidery files are included for free with this pattern.
