Hi everyone!
The new pattern poll hasn’t been up for very long, but I knew right away that I had to do Squirtle this year 💙 I’ve had so many requests for him since I finished Charmander that way it would finish out the Kanto starters. So I hope you enjoy the final addition to finish out this classic trio!

Squirtle has a similar sitting pose to some of the previous Pokemon I’ve done, and sits a little shorter and fatter than Charmander. His arms, feet, and shell are attached by hand, so that takes some extra time. You’ll also find he has a lot of darts all over his face, shell, and tail, so be prepared for that. All in all, I rated it a 5/10. But as a fun addition, it also comes with sunglasses to make your own Squirtle Squad!

As always, the pattern comes with applique templates to make the face as well as the reflections on the sunglasses. These will work if you’re sewing the details by regular machine or by hand. If you have an embroidery machine, you’ll find the embroidery files available for download here or with the buttons below. It includes the face, belly markings, shell markings, sunglasses reflections, and in the hoop sewing for the arms and feet.
