Free Pattern Friday! Wolf Plush

Hi everyone!
So a wolf really shot up to the top of my pattern poll! I had planned on trying something epic with it later in the year, but with so many votes I thought it best to create a simple and fun free version for now ♥
This version is a cute handheld size plush that would be great as a beanie or for tossing around. I made sure to give it a little extra edge, including scruffy bits around the sides of the head, a snarling tooth, and angry eyes so it looks more like a wolf than say a husky dog. But you could definitely adapt this into a husky, fox, or even a cat!

For construction, the forehead has some tricky curves and seams to line up. The head and back feet are also attached by hand. I thought it seemed close to a 3/10 in difficulty, but I leaned towards a 4/10 instead.
As always, the pattern comes with applique templates to make all the details like eyes, mouth, and paw pads. These will work if you’re sewing the details by regular machine or by hand. If you have an embroidery machine, you’ll find the embroidery files available for download with the buttons below. All the pieces are 4×4 hoop friendly, and if you have a 5×7 hoop you can actually embroider all the face pieces at once.
I hope you all like it!

  1. Absolutely fantastic! Thank you so much for this – my daughter will love this plushie. I bought all the zodiac patterns so need to start those but did complete the Jiji plushie at the weekend. My 14 year old loves it!

  2. I’m curious. Could I possibly combine the Eeveelution blobs with the wolf body to make Eeveelution plushies?

    1. I definitely think so! I might personally shorten the muzzle a little since the wolf muzzle is a little severe. But most of the other parts would work!

    2. May I make a reccomendation? This one would be very cute for the eeveelutions, however I would reccomend Cholyknight’s Teto plushie pattern (also in their free patterns). I feel like the face shape is closer to them and the ears would only need mild modifications. Hope this helps!

  3. I’ve been thinking about bringing a wolf plush back into rotation for my convention tables, this will be a great learning aid for making nicer snouts ❤️

  4. Thank you for these patterns!! My little brother loves wolves so I’m going to scale this up and make it a backpack for his birthday!

  5. It is awesome! Your patterns are so easy to follow and so nicely done! It shows a lot of very hard and dedicated work to put them together. You are fantastic

  6. I’m self-taught using this pattern to make a coyote. it’s so easy to follow. Thank you so much for sharing these patterns. In a sea of pricey or confusing patterns I always know I can turn to you for amazing projects.

  7. I’m just starting on this pattern but being an experienced seamstress I’m looking forward to this project! My grandson will get the first one.

  8. Muchas gracias por compartir tu arte! Todos tus diseños son hermosos, uno mas lindo que otro. No veo la hora de poder hacerlos a todos!

  9. Hi! I want to thank you so much! When I saw this a year before, I fall totaly in love with that. Since my 13 yo was my dream to make a husky plush with my hands and now, 20 years later, I found your site <3 Through the last year I fall in love with plush sewing, made lot of huskies and other animals, buy some others patterns from you. But this one will be forever my favourite. Now I change this pattern for me to make some other breeds.

    THANK YOU VERY MUCH! 🙂
