Hi everyone!
This animal is up next on my pattern poll list — a sweet little giraffe! It seems like another great companion to the previous cow and elephant I did earlier in the year. I had a hard time deciding whether to make the face long or give it a cute chubby snout. As you can see I decided for the latter. I also couldn’t resist giving it tiny stumpy legs despite the elegant long neck. What really brings it all together are the cute horns (technically called ossicones — you learn something new every day!) and the fun spots.
Just like the cow and elephant, this plush has a tiny 4-legged body that requires some extra patience to get the belly seams lined up. But I do my best to break it down into simple steps. If you’ve made the other plush before you’ll find this body comes together much the same.
With all that in mind, I rated it a 4/10 in difficulty. As always, the pattern comes with applique templates to make the face and spots if you’re using a regular sewing machine or working by hand. There are also embroidery files available if you have an embroidery machine. They’re 4″ x 4″ hoop sized, you’ll just need to rotate the face to make it fit.
I hope you all like it!
