Free Pattern Friday! Hamster & Chinchilla Plush

Hi everyone!
Probably the most requested animal I received in 2019 was for a Hamster, with a Chinchilla being highest in the poll I put out at the end of 2019. I thought maybe I could combine them for this next free pattern!
I toyed with making these fluffy guys more realistic, but honestly I think fellow plush designer Teacup Lion did a great job with that herself. So instead I went with a more cartoony version that has a big head and little body. It kind of has Hamtaro vibes ♥

The hamster has a separate muzzle piece that give it its chubby cheeks. Beginners might find all the curves difficult to sew, so I included some alternatives for sewing that part. Meanwhile the chinchilla is made with longer, 10mm pile minky for that luxurious and fluffy result <3 Included is a cute little sunflower seed for them to hold! With all that in mind, I rated it a 4/10, but it might feel more like a 3/10 for the chinchilla since it doesn't have the contrast muzzle.
As usual, the pattern has applique templates for the face and other markings, but there are included embroidery files as well. They all fit in 4" x 4" hoops, though for some you'll need to rotate the fabric. The sunflower seed is sewn in the hoop for some extra ease.
I hope you all like it!
