Hello everyone!
I just wanted to pop in and say I’m having a sale for spring! I had planned this like last year, though hopefully the timing this time will help with those of you out there staying safe at home from the current virus spreading around ❤
From now through next Wednesday, the 25th, my whole shop will be 15% off! Also all new items, that is items 1 year old or younger, will be 25% off ❤
And the special feature, at 40% off, is my newest Unicorn Backpack Pattern!
After I did my plush dragon backpack last year, it’s no surprise that many requests came in for a unicorn version. Here it is finally! It took some time to tackle it since it is a big project, so I had to make room in my schedule. I hope you all think it was worth the wait!
I has many of the same features as the other backpacks, but with a unicorn body instead. You’ll also find a few options for the manes, tails, wings, and horns — including a fun striped spiral horn that was a blast to design.
As before, it comes in two sizes. The small is a more typical size that fits a few essentials like your phone, wallet, and keys. While the large is an epic statement piece that can fit a whole standard tablet! There’s a video on my Instagram that shows it in action ♥
There are applique templates for the facial features included in the original pattern, or you can buy the accompanying embroidery files if you have an embroidery machine. You can also stitch up fun forehead designs and wing applique too.
To celebrate its launch, the pattern will be at 40% off for the spring sale! And the embroidery will be 50% off! I hope you’ll give it a look! And if you snagged a copy, I hope you enjoy it!
And as an extra bonus to make up for the long delay, I have a free pattern hack for the new pattern ❤
With these additional pieces, you can make a Galar Ponyta!
It includes all the little pieces you need, like the mane, tail, horn, bangs, face, and leg/arm fluffs — in both the small and large sizes. The instructions are written assuming you have the backpack pattern, but if you’ve got a lot of ingenuity you could certainly go rogue and use the templates for a different design.
Please consider it my extra thank you for your patience in getting this pattern done!
I hope some of this might help with getting your mind off all the stress! Take care everyone! ❤

Sooooo adorable! I’m not familiar with the Ponyta, but this pattern will make an awesome Pinkie Pie! Thank you again for all that you do!

Do you think it would work if I modified this pattern to be a plush instead of a backpack?
March 23, 2020 at 8:44 AM
Oh certainly! You would just need to ignore the steps that mention the zippered pocket and the straps 🙂 If you don’t install any of those things it becomes a regular plush! No extra work needed ♥

Soo cute! Do you think it’s possible to see the head on facing forwards?
March 24, 2020 at 8:50 AM
Thanks so much! You could definitely do that! 🙂 I think the trick would be to make the neck opening in the back of the head come up a bit more, or else the head might come out looking downward a little ♥

Just out of curiosity, did Appa from Avatar make it onto your list of patterns to make this year?

I’m definitely going to try! If things go according to plan you should see him some time this year 🙂

Yay! Thank you. I’m excited to hear that.
