Hi everyone!
This month’s free pattern is a nod to The Legend of Zelda games! A fun little korok! These are cute forest pixies that can be found in The Wind Waker and Breath of the Wild Games. They have tiny wooden bodies and leaf masks that come in dozens of colors. There are a good handful of other patterns, both free and paid, for these little guys. This version has some leaf shapes I hadn’t seen a lot elsewhere. So you can still use the ones here to make lots of different koroks, or maybe combine them with others so you can get every leaf shape! Since every korok is different you can’t go wrong!

With that in mind, I rated this one a 2/10, because the body just has one simple dart. There’s a good bit of applique in the leaf with all the different markings. But to be honest koroks have that rustic, handmade look to them anyway, so even if you make some mistakes you’re still sure to have a great result. I personally got some Spoonflower fabric printed for their bodies (here’s some I designed, and a great alternative from Dolphinwing), though solid colors work just as well too! ♥

There are also embroidery files for the leaves and faces. Because of the different leaf shapes and sizes, not everything could fit into a 4″ x 4″ hoop. So you’ll find some modified versions for the smaller size so no one is completely left out. Some of the 5″ x 7″ sizes have the leaves sewn in the hoop so you can save some work there <3
