I’ve had a lot of requests for a reversible plush <3 And I spent the past year researching and doing some test runs, but I finally have something ready to go!
For this first version, it seemed like a dragon was in order ^_^ especially since it could change into a simple little egg! The dragon templates allow you to make a cute belly-down style plush. You can make yours with either classic dragon details or more fairy-inspired ones like butterfly and feather wings — which felt too perfect considering the smallish size of this plush. In the belly is the opening for the egg, held closed with a button and elastic loop. And then when you push in the wings, head and legs, it transforms into a cute egg!

You can decorate your egg with applique spots or embroider vines or scales onto it <3 But I was happy to find a faux fur works nicely too!
The tricky parts of this plush include sewing the neck, which is a bit of a tight curve. But you can also sew the body and head separately and attach them by hand later. Sewing the belly isn’t quite as hard as it looks, but it does need some pivoting and lining up points carefully — overall I rated it a 6/10.

There's embroidery available to help make it a little easier, including a cute eye and a more sultry lashed eye. There's also embroidery for the egg decorations. All the pieces except the egg scales fit 4" x 4" hoops — sadly you need at least a 6" x 10" for that one since it's an allover kind of design.

Throughout the last-minute sale, the new pattern will be 30% off, and the embroidery will be 50% off. Meanwhile the rest of the store will be 20% off from now through Tuesday!
