New Shop Pattern! Stacking Dragon Plush ♥

Hello everyone!
I’ve got a new pattern that I’ve recently added to my Etsy shop 😀

After releasing the loaf-style Lion, Tiger, & Bear stacking plushies last year in April, I had a bunch of requests to do a dragon version, so here it is! I had the toughest time deciding which face I liked, and I ended up making a kitty dragon version because in the sketches it was just too cute!
Just like the last one, it has an interesting shape in that the arms and legs are splayed out in front instead of to the side. A lot of y-seams are involved in making it, but once you get the hang of the steps it actually goes rather fast.

One thing that might help is the accompanying embroidery files that are available for purchase as well 😀 It has two different faces, one for the more angular classic dragon eyes, and one for the snarky side eyes. The listing comes with the separate eyes and faces at tons of different sizes so you can use them for this plush or a different project entirely.

To celebrate its launch, the pattern will be at 30% off for the first weekend! And the embroidery will be 50% off! I hope you’ll give it a look! And if you snagged a copy, I hope you enjoy it!

  1. Hm. As if I needed another project. But I’ve been to Japan (and know kawaii when I see it or when it grabs me by the throat~gasp~ )have a new granddaughter who can be my excuse, have an embroidery machine!

  2. These are absolutely adorable! Do you have some kind of placement guidance for the embroidered features? I see where you show how to place the appliques, but there’s no similar instruction on how to place the eyes and accent marks to get them placed properly, even in the embroidery download. Perhaps I just missed it? Thanks so much!

    1. Also, after a lot of measuring and printing of templates, the 61mm eye size is the one that fits this dragon face. Hope this helps! 🙂

    2. There is! 🙂 In the embroidery files there’s a folder titled “For use with Stacking Dragon Plush Pattern”
That one has files that are optimized for just that pattern, and they have a placement guide along the bottom where the dart would be. The instructions cover how to use it just for the pattern too 😀
      I hope that helps!
