I’ve got a new pattern that I’ve recently added to my Etsy shop 😀
I’ve gotten a lot of requests for more dolls, so before I jump into humans I thought I’d try my own version of an Anthropomorphic doll 🙂 It’s similar to the standing animal plush I did previously, but these are little less chibi and have longer limbs and a more clearly defined neck. The shape of the head has a more classic animal shape than the big round heads that I usually do.
Their longer silhouette means they look very nice dressed up, so for this first batch I thought I’d go with a witchy theme! The pattern includes templates to make a hooded cape, witch’s hat, and a leaf backpack. It also has templates for little felt details like flowers, wings, and leaves.
With that said, you can use the clothes from this pattern for the standing animal as well! Though the hoodie from the standing animal pattern is for smaller arms, so that’s a bit of a tight fit.
The hardest part of the plush is definitely the arms, though unfortunately that’s what helps them hang down instead of stick outward. So if you didn’t have a lot of trouble with the arms on the standing plush pattern, then this one won’t be too bad for you. All in all, I get a lot of requests for more plushies that are almost completely machine-sewn, which made the arms difficult. But on the bright side it means it comes together a lot faster once you get the hang of it!
One thing that might help is this pattern has some accompanying embroidery files you can purchase! All 4 eye designs are available together in a pack. The design pack comes with a files suited specifically for the plush and also standalone files that you can use for other plushies should you choose. The ones meant for the plush can fit either on a 4×4 hoop (if you’re doing a fox style plush with a muzzle), or a 5×7 hoop (if you’re doing a full face like the cat).
To celebrate its launch, the pattern will be 30% off for the first weekend, and the embroidery files will be 50% off! I hope you’ll give it a look! And if you snagged a copy, I hope you enjoy it!

When you first put the pattern in the shop, is it free for a certain amount of time?
Not trying to be greedy! I just thought you said something like that a while back. If not, sorry for misunderstanding ☺
Not now, unfortunately :/ It was a special I used to do, but it became such a mad rush and a lot of people were let down, haha 🙂
Oh, ok. Thanks for your answer ☺
These are sooooo cute!
SO adorable! Can you make the eyes without embroidery? With felt?
Most definitely! The pattern comes with applique templates (and how to applique instructions) as well 🙂
Hello! I’m working on this plush set and it’s adorable. Any chance you may do an expansion to add more animals using this as a base?
My son loves raccoons and it would be fun to make one in this style. 🙂
Thank you for the suggestion! I’m glad you’re enjoying the pattern so far 🙂
