The shape of the plush is not terribly uncommon; it’s a chibi-style plush that stands on four legs. It has a large head and a tiny body with stubby little feet. It works for a lot of different animals, and would be perfect for things like Pokedolls, but I went with a Fox and a Hare for this collection. The hare has a slightly smaller body than the fox, but they both have the same size head. So you have your pick of body size, or use both if it works for a set you’re doing!
To put a unique spin on them, they have a celestial theme like the elemental dragons I did back in March. Included is a Sun Fox, Moon Hare, Star Hare, and Black Hole Fox. So there are 4 different ear templates as well as different tail and wing templates to dress up your animal. Technically the hares are wolpertingers because they have both horns and wings, but it made the title less of a mouthful to just call them hares in the pattern, haha ❤ You don’t need to follow my theme to make a cute character, but this gives you lots to work with.
It’s a little tricky to make like some of my other recent patterns, especially if you’re not used to sewing gussets. But I try to make it easy as possible by clearly labeling all the points you need to match up. And of course each step is taken really slowly.
To celebrate its launch, I’ll be offering it at 30% off all through Memorial Day weekend! So you have until the end of May 28th to get the discount. I hope you’ll give it a look! And if you snagged a copy, I hope you enjoy it!
