New Shop Pattern! Fleece Fish Hat

Hi everybody!
I’ve got a new pattern that I’ve recently added to my Etsy shop 😀

I’ve had a lot of requests for the pattern I use to create my Magikarp hats. I try to save my fanart for my free patterns, so I thought this was a good opportunity to have fun and really expand the pattern into lots of different fish! The pattern gives you the instructions and templates to make a cute slouchy-style hat that’s very trendy lately, but the opening of the hat forms the mouth of a fish that’s glomming into your head <3

With the pattern you can make a classic goldfish, shark (complete with sharp teeth!), betta fish, or koi fish (ideal for Magikarp). Though you can swap out the side, top, and tail fins to make lots of different combinations. The pattern is sized for heads between 13” and 25” around, so it runs the scope of sizes from babies to large adults.

To celebrate its launch, I’ll be offering it at 30% off (not including taxes and fees) for this weekend! I hope you’ll give it a look! And if you snagged a copy, I hope you enjoy it!

  1. Hi there – was looking at the materials list from the Etsy link, and had a question for you. Did the baby and child/adult list get switched? The Baby hat was saying 1/2 yard for main fabric and 1/4 yard for accent, where the child/adult size showed as 1/4 yard for both main and accent… didn’t want people (including myself) to be buying the wrong fabric amounts! Thanks!

    1. Oh yes! That is an error thank you 🙂 It was caught in the actual .pdf file but the Etsy photo wasn’t updated. Thanks so much for pointing that out ♥ I hope it didn’t cause any confusion!
