Throwback Thursday! Kitty Purse

Hey everyone!
I decided to take a walk down memory lane today and revisit an old pattern of mine 😀 I released my Kitty Purse pattern back in October of 2014. It really took off as a popular pattern and is still one of my most-downloaded tutorials to this day. Back then my patterns weren’t quite as detailed and comprehensive as they are now, so I thought it might be fun to remake it in some new fabric and give the pattern the update it deserves!

So now not only does the pattern have tons more photos and illustrations, but it has some highly requested features as well. The top of the purse now has a zipper closure, and the strap now uses a more traditional strap adjuster rather than a buckle. At the time I made the original I just used what I had, but this time I could use some proper supplies 🙂 I hope you all like the update!

  1. Thank you Choly! I recently found your site about a month ago and have fallen in love with all you patterns. I literally love each and every pattern you have. They are all so unique and fun. Keep up the good work! You’re an awesome designer and I look forward to future patterns!

  2. A great pattern updated to be even better. Thanks Choly! I’m similar to Rachel in that I came across your site just a little while ago and love all your patterns as well. You never disappoint and are so very generous with all your free patterns. I now have many lovely and unique gifts to make for the grandkids.

    1. Hello! Thanks so much for the kind words about my work! I’m so glad you’re enjoying the patterns 😀
Your kitty purse looks fantastic! It looks great in the fake leather ♥ Thank you for sharing the adorable photo!

  3. Hii !
I really love the instructions., and the effort you put into it.
Unfortunately, I have problems with the clean closure of the zipper. In one picture the end is still separated and in the next picture there is a fabric under the end (page 10, Picture top right and Picture down left)
Is something missing here or am I misunderstanding the instructions?
