Today’s project is a little off the beaten path for me, but the motivation was about the same as always xD Part of my overwhelming fabric stash actually included some bits of leather. I was wracking my brain trying to figure out how I could use it, but it didn’t seem to go with any of the other fabrics I had so I was pretty much at a loss. Eventually I came around to the idea of making some dice bags! That is, the kind usually made for D&D dice 😀
I realize I’m giving you all a deeper glimpse into my geekiness here, but bear with me! I don’t play D&D as much as I wish I could, so making these was kind of like getting to live that feeling for a little bit. And it means I’ll be ready should I have time to delve into a game. Of course, you could use these for loads more besides dice. They make a great accessory for anyone into Renaissance fairs or for holding special trinkets. And this project is especially perfect if you’ve never worked with leather before – it would be a great way to introduce yourself to the material.

You can never have too many dices and dice bags ; )
Sssooooo I tried this, and my sewing machine did not like the leather (and i did buy leather needles specifically for this) any advice? 🙁
Oh no, I’m so sorry about that! Do you know exactly where you’re having problems? Is the needle not piercing the material? Or is the machine not moving the material when you sew?
Thank You 😀 Needed a present for my son-in-law, and this will be perfect
