New Freebie Plush Pattern for March!

Hello everyone!

I hope you all are having a good year so far! I can’t believe we’re already in March 😀 I’ve been chugging along with book edits and updating my Etsy store for the past month. For March I’ll be fulfilling orders for all the new aviator hats and hoodies I’ve been selling to you wonderful folks, but hopefully in my off time I can work on some more stash-busting projects to share with you all! ^-^

To get to the heart of the matter, though. I’m still going strong with the punny food animal theme for this year’s Monthly Crafting Challenge! January was a Cinnabunny plush, February had a Red Velvet Cupkit, and for March it’s…

Chick Peas!

This food animal pun is kind of a classic, but I just couldn’t resist making it, because what else is cuter for spring than a couple of bright yellow chicks in a pea pod? Also I believe March covers part of the season for chick peas, so that’s a nice plus as well ^-~ I had a lot of fun putting these together x3 Each chick is about the size of an orange, so their wings, beaks, and feet are so tiny! But once you get them all basted in place, the rest of the chick comes together quite nicely. And the pouch is a ton of fun to come together as well, especially once you get to stuff the chicks inside xD

So how do you get this pattern?
If you haven’t already, start off by signing up for email updates (found in the submission box on the right sidebar above “My Books”). If you have trouble signing up, you can check out more info at the main Monthly Crafting Challenge page, the FAQ, or by emailing me.

So what if you’re already signed up for email alerts?
That’s where the challenge comes in. You can get this pattern if you make one of the projects from this blog, my books, or my Etsy then email me or message the finished project to my Facebook where I have a really awesome collection going of your creations! Keep sending me photos every month and you’ll get a new free pattern.

Also, bonus! for today only I’m offering both this pattern and the one from February when you sign up. After today though, the prize is just this guy 🙂 You’ll have to purchase the older pattern through my Etsy if you’re too late.

So don’t forget to check back next month for a new punny food animal plush pattern, and keep sending me photos of your amazing creations!

  1. I have signed up and I do get your messages and I have sent pictures but I never get the free patterns you promise, I don’t understand…

    1. I sent two patterns your way on 12/1 in response to the adorable Calcifer plushes you sent — hopefully you got them!
I don’t know if there was a miscommunication, but in order to get another pattern for each month you have to send in the photo of another project. I’m so sorry if there was confusion there :/ I’ll be sending you this month’s pattern by way of apology!

  2. I know this is a bit late but I thought I can this month’s plush pattern downloaded from the e-mail but apparently not. Could you sent it to my againI
