One Month Update & New Freebie for February!

So it looks like tomorrow marks my one-month blogiversary ^-^ I have to say that I’m ecstatic that I have so many new followers and fans in such a short time! I really hope I can keep it up and reach more and more people as time progresses 😀
A few updates feel in order: I’ve made up a small handful of free projects to share with the internetting world, though so far it’s only made a small dent in my fabric stash XD The progress I’ve made is that before I wasn’t able to get the lid on my box of heavy duty & suiting fabrics, but now I can! Better than nothing I suppose 😀 I still can’t get the lid on my box of cottons however xP And my boxes of satins and knits are yet to be touched.
With all those fabrics, I focused on making bags mostly. That’s all well and good, but I’m really itching to move onto some different projects. Maybe I’ll just take a break now and again with a something new, but my aspirations of clothing and quilting tutorials will have to hold off for another time ^-^
I’ve probably gotten a *smidge* better at being more loquacious, but I think I can still improve at being more talkative and open. I’ve been working on some personal projects that I hope to share in the coming weeks, so that will probably help.
Also in the future I hope that in time and with more followers and commenters I can start hosting giveaways and other similar things 😀 But for now I think I’m quite happy with the set up I’ve got going. Each small step has been a ton of fun so far.

EDIT: This offer was only available in 2013 and is now closed

Speaking of next steps, this new month marks the second part in my Monthly Crafting Challenge!
The freebie for the month of February is an adorable Salmon Roe Gunkan Sushi Plush!
201302-February

For those who are a little sushi-phobic, salmon roe is of course salmon eggs (also called ikura in sushi restaurants). They have a wonderful fishy, salty flavor that bursts in your mouth when you eat them. The gunkan term refers to how the sushi is assembled, with the loose mound of roe atop a bed of rice all wrapped in a piece of nori (seaweed) to keep the roe from spilling out. Whether you enjoy sushi or not, you can’t deny how cute this little plush is! And remember, this starts tomorrow so if you’d still like January’s plush, act today before it’s too late!

For those of you new to the blog, you can get this pattern for FREE through the month of February when you sign up for email updates. If you’ve already signed up that’s where the challenge comes in 😀 You can get this pattern if you make one of my projects from this blog or my books then message the finished project to my Facebook where I hope to amass a really big album of your creations! Keep it up and every month you’ll get a new free pattern, so don’t forget to check back in during March to see what I’ve cooked up :3

So I think that just about wraps things up for January ^-^ I certainly hope February will be just as productive, so I’m going to get back to work! ^-~
