Happy New Year!
New Year’s Day seems about as good a time as any to start a new blog, right?
As a kind of introduction, I must say that it’s taken me quite a while to get the initiative to start my own blog/website. I’m actually not much of the blogging type. While I have lots of long-standing online presences, mostly at Deviantart & Etsy, I never thought having a blog was necessary. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge technology buff and an avid writer, but I’m also extraordinarily shy ^-^ I find it strange to post random things about myself without a lot of editing and polish – I’m fairly convinced that I’m not nearly interesting enough that people would want to hear about my life. But that doesn’t mean I can’t start to come out of my shell!
You see a while back I wrote a book called Sew Kawaii! a very fun craft book revolving around Japanese kawaii style, and I’ve been writing more and more craft books for Fox Chapel Publishing all the while. It seemed like the logical choice was to create a convenient hub that has all of my books, works, & store rolled into one 😀 I also want to reach out to all the wonderful people who have purchased my books – I’d like to provide that extra bit of customer service for everyone that’s supported me ♥
With that said, I hope this blog will help readers or those casually curious to get to know me, and maybe I’ll be less tentative about letting my mouth run off once in a while 😀 In the meantime, I want to create an open forum for any people that have read or are interested in my books and works! Please ask questions or ask for advice! I’ll do whatever I can to help if you have inquiries about what I’ve written! There are always miscommunications in text or maybe just misunderstandings that need a little push in the right direction. Please consider me and this blog the bonus material you get with your purchase!
So for now, I hope that you’ll follow me here for updates about my work. But I also hope to provide lots of great information about sewing & crafting as well as a free project every now and then! I’ll do my best to stay active so I promise you won’t regret stopping by!
