Free Pattern Friday! Shark Plush

Hi everyone!
A bit of a simpler pattern today, which should be nice for beginners! It’s a highly-requested partner to the dolphin and narwhal plush I made previously 😀 A cute baby shark!
It has just a few pattern pieces like the ones before it and comes together quickly. I rated it a 2/10 — the most difficult part is probably the belly, since it comes to a point in the back of the tail like a gusset. But it’s not terribly hard to do. So if you’re a beginner this would be a good way to get acquainted with gussets. If you’ve never sewn anything curved before this might feel more like a 3/10.
The applique templates include a classic round eye, a big toothy grin, and silly anime-style eyes so you can make a tsundere shark just like the internet meme :3 Each version has embroidery files included as well – with the teeth done in applique. All fit on 4” x 4” hoops so no one is left out!

New Shop Pattern! Dragon Backpack Plush

Hello everyone!
I’ve got a new pattern that I’ve recently added to my Etsy shop 😀

Last year I did plush backpack of a cute rabbit, fox, and cat. And you guys gave it such a welcome response – thank you so much! But the most common question was whether there would be a dragon version ❤ I’d be crazy not to make one! So here’s what I came up with!
It’s got the same major features as the original plush backpack, but with a cute dragon body instead. It comes with lots of different wings, horns, and spikes that you can change up depending on the look you want. I felt inspired to do a weather theme. So there’s a snow, rain, wind, and lightning dragon — but they really work together in whatever combination you like ♥

As before, it comes in two sizes. The small is a more typical size that fits a few essentials like your phone, wallet, and keys. While the large is an epic statement piece that can fit a whole tablet!
It is a slightly harder pattern since it combines both plush-making and bag-making. Even more so because for this dragon version I included how to make a secret (optional) hidden tail pocket! If you’re familiar with using invisible zippers you can tackle this addition 🙂 It’s sure to blow people’s minds when they see it! But know that it’s a tricky technique so be sure that you’re confident if you try it. If you skip it the plush comes together just the same.

If you feel intimidated by the whole thing, it might help to know I’m working on a simpler plush backpack without all the extra details for the future ♥ So stay tuned for that if you’d prefer a more basic version 😀

One thing that might help make the project easier is the accompanying embroidery files that are available for purchase as well 😀 It has two different eye styles, available for both the small and large backpack. In addition there’s a set of other sizes for use with different projects should you want to. All the included files fit within a 4” x 4” embroidery hoop so all sizes are covered.

To celebrate its launch, the pattern will be at 30% off for the first weekend — from now until April 1st (no fools here ♥)! And the embroidery will be 50% off! I hope you’ll give it a look! And if you snagged a copy, I hope you enjoy it!

Free Pattern Friday! Kero-chan & Suppi Plush

Hi everybody!
As some long-time fans may know, I have made some Cardcaptor Sakura patterns in the past 😀 And since the new series has been out I’ve gotten a lot of requests to make these little guys ❤ So I finally gave it a go! With this one pattern you can make either Kero-chan or Suppi! Ready to go on card capturing adventures.

They both have huge ears and cute little faces as well as puffy wings and floppy bodies that can sit up if you put beans in their bottom. Sewing the arms, wings, and tail gets a little crowded when doing the body, so I rated this one a 4/10 in difficulty. But there’s a tip in the instructions to help you through it ♥ The ears sewn partially into the head darts accounts for the rating too, but you could also just fold the ears instead.

You can sew all the features with fusible web applique or using the embroidery files I’ve included below. Both faces are small enough to sew entirely in a 4" x 4" hoop so no one is left out!

New Shop Pattern! Fawn & Unicorn Plush

Hello everyone!
I’ve got a new pattern that I’ve recently added to my Etsy shop 😀

Last year I did a set of fox and hare plushies that were specifically designed as a chibi style animal that stands on four legs 😀 Since then I’ve been thinking it would work well for a deer too. I found they also looked especially cute for a unicorn — particularly a more delicate-looking unicorn like one from The Last Unicorn (one of my favorite old animated movies!). So I took a leap and developed the rest ❤ There are lots of horns, wings, manes, and tails to choose from so you can make a really fun and unique unicorn! But my favorite addition is the little flower garland you can make to wrap around the horns or antlers ❤
Just like the fox and hare, they’re a bit tricky to sew because of the belly gusset. But each point is numbered and labeled to help you through it precisely.

One thing that might help is the accompanying embroidery files that are available for purchase as well 😀 It has two different eyes, one for big bright open eyes and another for a closed eye with eyelashes. The listing comes with the separate eyes and faces at tons of different sizes so you can use them for this plush or a different project entirely.

To celebrate its launch, the pattern will be at 30% off up through the weekend! And the embroidery will be 50% off! I hope you’ll give it a look! And if you snagged a copy, I hope you enjoy it!

New Shop Pattern! Stacking Dragon Plush ♥

Hello everyone!
I’ve got a new pattern that I’ve recently added to my Etsy shop 😀

After releasing the loaf-style Lion, Tiger, & Bear stacking plushies last year in April, I had a bunch of requests to do a dragon version, so here it is! I had the toughest time deciding which face I liked, and I ended up making a kitty dragon version because in the sketches it was just too cute!
Just like the last one, it has an interesting shape in that the arms and legs are splayed out in front instead of to the side. A lot of y-seams are involved in making it, but once you get the hang of the steps it actually goes rather fast.

One thing that might help is the accompanying embroidery files that are available for purchase as well 😀 It has two different faces, one for the more angular classic dragon eyes, and one for the snarky side eyes. The listing comes with the separate eyes and faces at tons of different sizes so you can use them for this plush or a different project entirely.

To celebrate its launch, the pattern will be at 30% off for the first weekend! And the embroidery will be 50% off! I hope you’ll give it a look! And if you snagged a copy, I hope you enjoy it!

Free Pattern Friday! Penguin Plush

Hey everyone!

I technically already created a penguin plush back in March of 2015 when I did Gunter from Adventure Time. But I was still getting requests for a penguin, haha! 😀 So I figured I should tackle a more classic penguin look, possibly with a different pose? Which is where my friend had the idea to make it look like it’s sliding on its belly! The idea seemed too cute to pass up ❤

The pattern itself doesn’t have a lot of pieces, so the penguins come together rather quickly 😀 The most difficult part is sewing the bottom, as there are some curves involved. But if you take it slow it’s not quite so bad. Altogether I’d call it a 3/10 in difficulty.

You can sew all the features with fusible web applique or using the embroidery files I’ve included below. The version of the face which includes applique for the top point needs a 5” x 7” hoop. But I’ve also included an amended 4” x 4” version without the applique and blush marks which still gets the job done 😀 I hope you all like it!

Holiday Sale! And New Squirrel Beanie Plush Pattern!

Hello everyone!
I heard from some that they missed my Thanksgiving sale, so I thought I’d run one more sale of the year for those last-minute holiday shoppers ♥

Everything is 10% off, and this time around all small, stocking stuffer kind of items are 20% off 😀 And that’s to celebrate my latest pattern that should be great for a quick gift!

These cute squirrels and sugar gliders! It’s a classic beanie-style plush with a body that’s filled with poly pellets. It makes it tons of fun for tossing around or just holding in your hand.
The twist I’ve given these is that the pieces are super-optimized! If you plan to make these to sell or give, they go really quickly because there’s almost no hand-sewing. It’s only the spot under the neck that needs to be sewn up to close these plushies.

And because they are so tiny, appliqueing the face is even more of a challenge than usual. Safety eyes would of course be a great alternative, but I thought it fair to include some embroidered eyes with the pattern at no extra cost. They fit 4″ x 4″ hoops so no one is left out!

This new pattern will be 30% off during the sale to celebrate the launch! I hope you’ll give it a look if you think it would make a nice gift for someone ♥ And if you snagged a copy, I hope you enjoy it!
Happy holidays everyone!
