Something different today! I have a sewing pattern to review now ^-~ This dress is Vogue 1031, a floor length bias dress with draped neckline, spaghetti straps, pleated inset, and side zipper. Bias dresses like this are probably one of my favorite things to sew, I love the way they come together and I love the way they look. If you are a fan of the way bias works and feels, then I definitely suggest you think about getting it 😀
Oooooh! Aren’t these just the fanciest things you ever did see? These are the Fingerless Gloves from Vogue Knitting Holiday 2009. Believe it or not, these gloves are made by knitting one large and one small star in the round, then sewing the points together into a shape that fits over one’s arms. I must admit they look a lot more complicated than they actually are – though they are still a bit complex.

Wow. This project took sooo incredibly long. But I think it was worth it. This is definitely one of those long time investment type projects. This project is the Anouschka Scarf from Interweave Knits Holiday Gifts 2010 issue. It’s a really cool looking scarf that has multiple looks depending on how you treat it. Pull on the inner cord and it scrunches up the bubbles into these lovely drapey ruffles, our leave the inner cord loose and you get to see the full waves of the bubbles.

This project is from a really cute book I picked up at the library, Boutique Knits. This is the cover pattern, the Side Slip Cloche. The whole book is filled with some really adorable patterns, so I would suggest it to anyone else who enjoys this style!

The next knitting project I recently finished is these cushy wrist warmers. They’re the Cabled Arm Cozies from the Holiday 2008 issue of Vogue Knitting. That issue actually had one or two other really cute looks, so I’m excited to get into making other things from it.

Woo! Finally had a chance to photograph some of the things I’ve been knitting on the side. This is the Floral Scarf, designed by Nicky Epstein, from the Holiday 2004 issue of Vogue Knitting. I remember buying this magazine from a huge lot of old Vogue Knittings from eBay. It was quite a fun adventure building up my magazine stash like that, so I’m incredibly glad that I got around to finally using the patterns.
