Sea Creatures Sale! And new Merfolk Expansion & Seahorse Pattern

Hello everybody! I hope everyone is staying safe and happy and healthy as spring is heating up. I have a few new patterns to celebrate #MerMay!

Last year, I released my Merpeople pattern, which was so much fun! Especially since some of the merpeople had octopus body variations. Well, shortly after releasing the pattern I immediately wished I had included a seahorse, then later a jellyfish. So I spent the rest of the year thinking of new mermaid ideas to create this new expansion pack!

Like my previous expansion packs, this one has extra parts that you use with a base pattern. In this case if you already have my Merpeople plush or my Centaur then you can swap out their lower bodies for a fun new seahorse, jellyfish, or fish-tailed horse (an ichthyocentaur). There are also new faces, hair styles, and accessories to jazz them up. You can also use the head from my Fawn & Unicorn plush pattern to make a ‘merpony’ or hippocampus. But if you’re looking at the seahorse mermaid and wishing I just had a regular seahorse, I whipped up a pattern for that too!

As always, the sewing pattern contains applique templates if you want to sew on the facial features by hand or regular sewing machine. But if you want to do embroidery, those files are sold separately. The seahorses use the same basic eye design as the merfolk, but simplified, so I included them in the same pack for the same price as if it were 2 designs ❤
To celebrate the launch, these new patterns will be 30% off from now through next Wednesday, the 20th. The compatible base patterns will also be 30% off. Meanwhile all other sea creatures will be 20% off and the rest of the shop will be 10% off. I hope you’ll give them a look! And if you snagged a copy of the new patterns, I hope you enjoy them!

New Shop Pattern! Merpeople Plush Doll

Hello everyone!
I’ve got a new pattern that I’ve recently added to my Etsy shop 😀

With it being May I just had to do something for Mermay! And doing a mermaid version of my human doll plush pattern was on my list for quite some time. So long, in fact, that I had a huge list of ideas I wanted to try. I did as many as I could and it ended up being quite intense!

In addition to the classic mermaid/merman with several tail fin options, you can also make a removable tail fin, or octopus legs! The pattern breaks everything down into sections so it’s easier to keep track of what version you’re doing 🙂 And to adorn the merperson, there are lots of male and female hairstyles as well as a classic seashell bra, eyepatch, and fun sailor tattoos.
What’s especially great about the removable tail is that you can then make selkies! They’re the mythical seal version of a mermaid that change from human to seal when they have their sealskin coat. So of course I had to include a fluffy seal coat pattern as well! It’s inspired by the one seen in Song of the Sea – a really beautiful animated movie you may have heard of if you like selkies.

The main pattern comes with applique templates but embroidery files for all the faces and tattoos are available separately ❤ There’s a set of sultry mermaid eyes as well as merman eyes. Included are the tattoos as well, all in several sizes so you’re not boxed into just using them for this pattern. All the major parts fit 4” x 4” hoops. The one exception is some additional embroidery for tail fin scales. Sadly those can only fit in 5” x 7” hoops.

To celebrate its launch, the pattern will be at 40% off for the first weekend! And the embroidery will be 50% off! I hope you’ll give it a look! And if you snagged a copy, I hope you enjoy it!
