Hi everyone!
I had a lot of requests for a ferret for the last year or so, so I’m really glad I could finally take a crack at it 😀 It was a lot of fun coming up with a design that showcased the elongated body while still keeping some chibi features. I especially love the tiny feet on the ends of the stumpy legs.
It doesn’t have a lot of pieces, so it comes together quickly. All in all I’ve rated it a 3/10. The only part where I had trouble was cutting the wrong side of the feet to turn them right side out. If you actually pay attention (like I didn’t, haha!) you should have no trouble 😀
You can sew all the features with fusible web applique or using the embroidery files I’ve included below. The face needs at least a 5” x 7” hoop and has a cute applique face mask. Both feet actually fit into a 4” x 4” hoop because they’re so tiny. And since they’re so tiny I also set up the file to sew them in the hoop as well. <3 I hope you all like it!

Hi, I love your patterns and have made several of them (see below). I love this ferret pattern and Im thinking that it could be easily adapted to make a raccoon by dividing the eye piece into two narrower pieces, and by adding stripes to the tail do you think that would work?? My daughter-in-law wants a raccoon to complete her collection so I think I will give it a try. Do you have any tips for making the head secure? I’ve been trying to do that, but the head on mine is still wobbly. Thanks!
One thing that helps (if you can still get inside the body) is to stuff the top of the body a little more so the head has a stronger base to rest upon. You can also stitch more of the head to the body so it has a wider neck and is more secure 🙂 I hope that helps!
Hi, My machine has a maximum 4×4 embroidery hoop and I was wondering if there is a way to still embroider this plush?
Unfortunately the current face only fits 5×7 hoops. But I could make a version without the mask, placed diagonally, and it would fit a 4×4 🙂
do you think that one day you could make a pattern for happy (the blue cat) from the fairy tail anime? I would like to have a good pattern for him hopefully for free.
