Free Pattern Friday! Chocobo Plush

Hi everyone!
This pattern is another one that’s been highly requested over the past several months 😀 It was such a joy to make because Final Fantasy is probably my favorite game franchise and I’m really glad it’s still going strong with classic creatures like these silly birds <3
I wanted to take the character in a slightly different direction than the officially licensed plushies and go with something more like art from the game. So these Chocobos have huge beaks that are almost toucan-like. And of course they have big spiky feathers on their heads, tails, and even little accent feathers.
I’ve rated it a 4/10 because the head has some y-seams that are a little tricky, the beak has some curved sewing, and the head is sewn on by hand. But the rest of the pieces are pretty straightforward.
You can sew the face with applique or use the embroidery files I’ve included. It’s small enough to fit in 4” x 4” hoops and still include a placement line to help you cut out the pattern. I hope you all enjoy it!

  1. I am dying here, lol these are too adorable. I love love final fantasy! Have you ever considered doing a pattern of the moogle and Vivi? Can’t wait to try this one out. Thank you so much for sharing.

    1. I’m so glad you like it! I love Final Fantasy too ♥
I had a lot of requests for a Moogle after the Chocobo, so that one is definitely on the list ^_^ I’ll consider a Vivi too if more people are interested!

  2. Hi! Thank you for sharing all this great work! All the plushies I’ve made from your patterns are successful ! Totorros, sloths, cats, and now Chocobos for my husband who’s asking me to make him one of each colors! (I think he wants to create an intire chocobos army).
Thank you again for those funny, moderns and beautiful patterns!
    From France,

  3. I recently got into FFXV through a friend and I fell in love with chocobos right away! Thank you for this amazing pattern, I will probably make two soon :3
