Happy New Year everyone!
I hope you all are excited for 2017! Which also means it’s the fourth anniversary of my blog 😀 It started back in 2013 and sometimes I can hardly believe I’ve kept it up for this long <3
It felt like 2016 had a lot of ups and downs for most people, so I’m glad to have a fresh start. Though it does sadden me to say that this will be the last iteration of the monthly crafting challenge 🙁 As some of you may remember from December, I announced that I’ll have to end the crafting challenge as a feature on my blog because it’s gotten too big for me to keep up with all of your amazing submissions! I decided to extend the Legendary Creatures Collection for one more month as a thanks to all of you. But on February we’ll do a proper send-off with a contest and a giveaway!
And of course I still plan to post regular free patterns as I usually do, as well as patterns available for sale, and other free promotions of different varieties <3

But onto the fun part! The last plush!

Dragon 2.0!

Of course you might remember I did a dragon last year in February, but I thought this would be a nice fitting tribute to bring the challenge back full circle 😀 It was definitely my most popular pattern of that year, and a lot of new fans lamented that they didn’t get a chance to earn that one. And to be honest, I had hoped to do the original dragon in this style, but I couldn’t make the prototype work for me at the time – I kept at it though! Which is why we have this little cutie now <3 I especially love him for all the extra little spikes on his tail, head, and nose. And I’m a huge fan of the big horns that give him so much character. You can rotate them different ways to give the dragon lots of interesting looks.
As for difficulty: This one has a lot of tiny pieces like the spikes, tail, and feet. So it’s best to position them carefully and check on them frequently as you sew. With all that in mind, I gave it a 4/10 stars in difficulty.
